  1. Mustang winter drivers

Pretty easy with a good set of winter wheels/tires.
  2. Considering a GT with the perf pack 1-need a winter tire/rim setup. What’s available?

I use EB PP wheels 19ā€ x 9ā€ with a 1ā€ spacer all around wrapped in 245/45/19 Michelin X-Ice 3s on my ā€˜15 GT. Lowered on BMR SP763 springs.
  3. Question regarding SP763 springs

Yeah I believe you’re right. I read the whole thread yesterday so I might have mixed up some of the combo feedback he gave. I thought it was the handling springs he liked more with the FRPP dampers but I do remember his feedback on the BMR performance springs (sp80/sp763) to be glowing. I’m...
  4. Question regarding SP763 springs

People who’ve talked about the FRPP dampers have said they work great at handling New York roads. I regret not just buying the FRPP track dampers set given the price, the versatility and the fact they have monotube rear dampers, which for their application work well in handling rough pavement.
  5. Question regarding SP763 springs

Yeah what Moffetts said. I did a complete read of this thread: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/my-complete-suspension-comparisons-to-date-springs-shocks-coilovers-etc-read.22036/ The general consensus is if you want to pair BMR springs with the FRPP track dampers, the BMR handling...
  6. Question regarding SP763 springs

The S550 rides on its rear bump stops from the factory so they factor in to how well the car rides. The factory bump stops don’t offer enough compression at lower ride heights and when cold. The Eibach bump stops compress better, are softer from my understanding and have a better design...
  7. Question regarding SP763 springs

Here is the PDF install guide for the Eibach pro kit springs with the part numbers for the Eibach bump stops https://www.cjponyparts.com/pub/media/images/install-pdf/install_ebs28-1.pdf Front: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/eib-ebs770044 Rear: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/eib-ebs770060
  8. Question regarding SP763 springs

If you don’t have too many miles on the car your could continue using your factory setup with the springs for a while. You’ll have to do everything again when the dampers need to be replaced. The thing about the performance springs (I have the SP763 kit) is they are close to the factory spring...
  9. Question regarding SP763 springs

Yes the SP763 springs are well suited to the performance pack dampers. Yes the 19 base uses an improved damper setup similar to the performance pack 15-17 dampers. You don’t have to replace your dampers right away but they will still wear down at an accelerated rate because they’ll be working...
  10. Koni Active Shocks

Something else that might put my BMR drop on the Konis into perspective is something I didn’t really think to mention before: my alignment. I had a very reputable shop that has seen a few S550s do my alignment after indexing/clocking the bushings. I stupidly didn’t buy front camber bolts. I...
  11. Koni Active Shocks

Nope. Probably too busy with more important requests and orders than to reply to my long winded situation/question. The more I look at 1ā€ inch rear drop springs the more I feel BMR springs drop more than 0.5ā€. I just don’t know
  12. Koni Active Shocks

Sounds like the best experience is at stock height. I noticed that highway bumps can feel more pronounced too.
  13. Koni Active Shocks

Thanks man this is super helpful. Are you saying you’d like to send me some directly? I don’t know what it would cost you to ship USPS to Canada but if you’re open to it we can work it out in PMs. If you order through Summit are you paying per bump stop?
  14. Koni Active Shocks

This picture is right after the alignment. It’s still sitting at the same height. Bushings were clocked yes. I expected the front to sit higher cause it’s the 7/8ā€ drop rather than the 1.2ā€ but man that rear just dropped. If this is a half inch drop in the rear then how are 1ā€ drop springs...
  15. Koni Active Shocks

Weird I read they were progressive from 200-314f//800-914r if you look to the previous page I posted pictures of my ride. Side views on both sets of wheels. There’s 1 finger gap in the rear basically. About 1-1.5 in the front. Feels like the rear dropped more than the front did. Car sits level...
  16. Koni Active Shocks

Funny you mention that because I reached out to Eibach directly to ask if I could purchase a set of their Pro Kit bump stops. What’s interesting is Koni recommends the Pro Kit with the Actives. And the Pro Kit has a lower ride height than my BMR SP763 springs. I’m wondering if it’s the slightly...
  17. Koni Active Shocks

One thing that needs to be said is that Koni’s Active dampers aren’t ideal with lowering springs and if I was aware of this before, I likely would have gone with Steeda’s active set or something else entirely. Steeda tested theirs with lowering springs to make sure they offered enough damping to...
  18. Koni Active Shocks

I’d say the kit will improve ride quality on rougher roads as long as they’re not riding on the bump stops; I would trim them even at stock height. They may help nose dive and squat a bit but normally this is improved by a better set of springs - generally lowering springs because they reduce...
  19. Koni Active Shocks

Wait your tires are 275/35 right? That’s 1.1ā€ smaller in diameter than my 275/40 summers so that will impact visual difference.
  20. Koni Active Shocks

Thanks for the guidance. It's pretty rash to think of swapping new parts out and not something I would do unless absolutely necessary. It's so expensive for me as a Canadian to buy parts from the US. I'll have to reach out to both companies for their insight on this. What's weird with the BMR...
