  1. New Whipple times, trap speed seems a bit low

Sounds dangerous to turn the knock sensors off.
  2. New Whipple times, trap speed seems a bit low

I'll have to check when I'm home. The only thing I did was raise the RPM limiter to 7800. I'm not sure what knock limiting is. And thanks, I try to row gears haha.
  3. New Whipple times, trap speed seems a bit low

I datalogged the 8th mile a few days ago but did not datalog the quarter. I may go back Saturday night with some octane booster and datalog with that to see if it improves. Yeah I think the 5th gear shift is killing me, I am shift into 5th a couple of car lengths before the finish line.
  4. New Whipple times, trap speed seems a bit low

So I ran at the track last night after installing my whipple last weekend, and pulled off some times. My best time was a 10.68 @ 127.98. I did end up running a 10.69 at 130.62. This was also on 93 octane fuel on a MT82 car with 3.73 rear gears. Was wondering what could cause my trap speed to be...
  5. Whipple 6-rib belt Gates K061058HD V-Belt

I could not find the HD version of K060891. I did order a K060891 off amazon, and running a belt that is ~1 inch longer than the original from AutoZone at the moment because its the only one I could get at the time. I adjusted the adjustable pulley to use it. I re-adjusted the Autozone belt...
  6. McLeod RST and Supercharger

I believe there is a Roush-Charged GT(Paul) running 9.47 in the quarter mile with an RST clutch with a large amount of track passes, so they hold up to good power. The issue with them is heat with the organic compound, you have to let your car cool a bit between pulls or passes down the track at...
  7. Looking for Mid to High 11 seconds combinations

^ This. I ran an 11.4 with the above mods and no weight reduction at all(I weigh 270 lbs also) when I was N/A.
  8. Whipple 6-rib belt Gates K061058HD V-Belt

Second one down from the Blower pulley. So if i wanted to order a replacement belt, should I grab an RPM belt or just a regular old Gates belt? I can't seem to find the RPM version of the belt anywhere.
  9. Whipple 6-rib belt Gates K061058HD V-Belt

My belt shredded this weekend because I forgot to torque a pulley down :headbonk:, I have one on from autozone at the moment but would like a backup and had a question. I have a question regarding the Gates K061058HD V-Belt. I am trying to purchase a backup belt in case mine ever shreds and...
  10. Whipple Stage 2 with 3.625 first time at the track results

I just installed a Whipple stage 2 with a 3.625" pulley on only 93. I'm an MT82 car. First few passes last night I ran 6.9X everytime at 96-102 MPH. Trap seems inconsistent because I was playing with shifting. My 3rd gear hit rev limiter a few car lengths before the finish line. Whipple tune...
  11. Random misfire during start sometimes

Did that, I moved Coil pack and plug from cylinder 8 to Cylinder 2 and Vice Versa. Thing is, I don't hear a misfire and the car does not get the code after its cleared. Still the same thing, I'm leaning towards a crankshaft position sensor. These are the codes word for word, again only...
  12. Random misfire during start sometimes

Ok guys, I figure someone on here might off suggestions. So I installed the Whipple 2.9 Stage 2 kit this weekend and have also data-logged WOT pulls with my NGauge and all looks good. I also performed my crank relearn while the car was at operating temperature. It ran a few 6.9s in the 8th mile...
  13. P0098 Code just after Whipple install

Solved the issue. I plugged the ACT sensor into the driver side 3 pin connector. It was suppose to be plugged into the passenger side. Thanks for the info everyone! problem solved.
  14. P0098 Code just after Whipple install

Alright, Thanks. Will look into this today.
  15. P0098 Code just after Whipple install

So I just finished installing my Whipple kit and have flashed to the whipple tune successfully, with one issue. I have a P0098 code. I would normally give Whipple a call, but it is the weekend and am wondering if I can figure it out before it ends. What could be the issue with the install? I...
  16. BG Syncro Shift II from Optimum Performance

Anyone know what the recommended change intervals are for the diff and transmission fluid? I think I have about 12k miles on my BG fluids at the moment and was curious.
  17. Driveshaft loops....that fit.

I do not at the moment. I should be under the car later this week and I can grab one. I essentially test fitted under the car and used a permanent marker to mark the small curves in the loop that I later hit with the bench grinder. After a few test fittings and going back and forth grinding, it...
  18. Driveshaft loops....that fit.

I use the BMR Driveshaft Safety Loop with my DSS 3.5" with an ARH full exhaust setup. I had issues with my rear O2s coming into contact with them, so I ended up modifying the Safety loop a bit. I now run my secondary O2s with the loop installed with no issues after a bit of grinding.
  19. For those who have installed their Whipple kit themselves

Yep, I have no issue taking my time. I have a backup car, my '90 Fox, glad I still have the a/c working. Still need a/c down here in FL at this time of year! lol I was just curious about the install time
