I expect that getting poor mileage with the PP has more to do with the driver than the gears. I easily get 26+ on the interstate at 75 on cruise.

OP, I think you would be OK with that weight in Alabama. I have a big concern about cold oil pressure. Mine runs 90psi with 50 degree oil until it warms up. I am afraid to go with a thicker oil for that reason. Don't put much stock in what was done in 11-14 coyotes as the heads were redesigned...
