  1. Black vs. Charcoal vs. Silver on DIB

I do like the Durbans, but seeing them more and more, the spokes may be just a bit too thin for my liking, especially on a 20" wheel. I don't have the beautiful Brembo brakes (not yet, anyway) to show off behind such narrow spokes. Still won't rule out any wheel at this point just yet. I must...
  2. Anyone here trade their white GT to Hendrick in Cary NC?

It's not mine obviously, but if I was still in the market for an S550, I certainly would have taken a close look at that one! I work not too far from that dealership.
  3. Black vs. Charcoal vs. Silver on DIB

Here's a pic I found of the silver PP wheels on a DIB convertible. Hmm...while they would match my stripes, those wheels are BRIGHT! (and would be a pain to keep clean) Also, after looking through more wheel pics this evening, I'm now about 80% sure that I want traditional looking...
  4. Foose Hood Scoop

    Why didn't I think of that?! :headbonk::D
  5. How to achieve 500rwhp without boost?

Bro, just quoting a price that I could easily find online. (Steeda.com) Besides, I already abandoned this idea a day or two ago. I'm not going to port out everything or swap cams, use E85 or 110 octane, sprinkle my car with pixie dust or enlist the help of a witch doctor, etc. just to say I...
  6. Foose Hood Scoop

I REALLY like the look of this scoop, but I can't bring myself to spend $450 and drill holes in my hood for a scoop that's merely cosmetic and not even functional.
  7. GT/CS style Wheels out there?

According to their specs table on TireRack.com, you can put a Continental Extreme Contact DW 275 width tire on a 19x9 or 20x9 wheel no problem.
  8. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Got a wheel balance and rotation this morning. One nice benefit to a square (albeit boring stock 18's) setup is a normal rotation for longer tire life!
  9. Crazy fast tune request turnaround time!

I LOVE this thing! Great installation instructions and can definitely feel the power difference over stock from the new intake and 93 octane tune. With the windows down, the sound from the intake under heavy acceleration is glorious. Also installed Steeda's 35lb clutch assist spring and enjoying...
  10. Black vs. Charcoal vs. Silver on DIB

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Those are JUST the type of photos I wanted to see!
  11. Black vs. Charcoal vs. Silver on DIB

I saw the sale, but ended up not getting anything. Within the last few weeks, I've dropped about $1,200 on the car for tints, a CAI, SCT tuner, JLT catch can and a couple other things, so I'm pretty much tapped out for the month unless I want to end up sleeping on the couch. :D
  12. Black vs. Charcoal vs. Silver on DIB

I'm trying to nail down a color for aftermarket wheels by polling forum users. Right now I've got the OEM silver/black 18x8 wheels. They're not horrible looking, but I do want to switch to aftermarket wheels with summer-only tires. I'll be keeping the OEM set to put on for the few months each...
  13. Official RTR Tech 7 Install Thread!

In your second picture, they look like they have a slight blue tint to them. Is that a side-effect of your camera/editing, or do they really look like that in person? I'm considering these wheels for my DIB, but not if they have that bluish hue to them.
  14. American Muscle sale.

That's actually not too bad at all! As I've been reading more about the various methods of wheel construction and the price difference associated with those methods, I can see how easy it is to get wrapped up in the idea that you have to spend over $1,000 or even $1,500 on a set of wheels for...
  15. Sigh..

While YMMV, based on my experience w/dealers and CarMax, IF (and it's a big if) they would take the car, they would likely just be doing it in order to get you into something new on the lot. Afterwards, your Stang would be immediately headed for an auction block somewhere along with the other...
  16. How to achieve 500rwhp without boost?

While I do agree with your logic, considering that my car is again just a daily driver, an extra 100lbs wouldn't mean a darn thing to me if I was supercharged and pushing over 650whp. Plus, I've read that the CJ manifold is so tall that I wouldn't be able to use the stock S550 hood and would...
  17. How to achieve 500rwhp without boost?

Oh, I'm enjoying the heck out of the car now, with the 400+ HP it already has! I'm sure that if I added all that other stuff the thrill factor would go up exponentially. With thoughts of FI now though, it will probably make me start re-thinking every single cosmetic purchase I want to make for...
  18. How to achieve 500rwhp without boost?

*Sigh* I know. :( I guess it was just one of those things where you want to pursue it because of the challenge it offers. Based on the replies here and lack of other info I could find on it, if I COULD make it happen, I'd probably be the first 500HP N/A Coyote S550 around, at least on M6G.com...
  19. Sigh..

As a teenager, I got into a front-end accident in my Honda Civic that caused frame damage. It was minor, but the shop still had to use a machine to bend it back into shape. When I went to sell the car, I took it to CarMax for an estimate and they saw marks on the frame where the machine gripped...
  20. Swollen Lug Nuts?

Yes! I only use a 13/16 deep socket for my nuts. Anything else is heresy! [insert joke about grabbing, wrenching, gripping, twisting or stripping my nuts here]
