I'd have to say the track wasn't prepped well at all. If they didn't put a good coat or two of VHT after sweeping/blowing the track off it wasn't well prepped.

100 Octane Tune numbers are reasonable the 93 is a bit of a stretch at 50. I suppose in good cold weather and low DA the 35 is realistic.

Yes on the custom tune but the E85 is an expensive conversion.

For everyone to get exactly what they want and what this kit should deliver, I see no way around a custom tune.

Typically they rattle, loss of performance and fuel mileage. Lastly a smell but can't imagine a new converter emitting a rotten egg smell with all the platinum they now have.
