  1. Timing Sprocket Failures

I'm sure there have been a couple. The only failure I have seen that is attributable to a timing sprocket was the Bama car - which is not terribly surprising considering how rough (6500k clutch dumps, and rev limiter burnouts) they were on the car.
  2. Timing Sprocket Failures

Has anyone other than MMR (or their affiliates...Bama) seen these fail? If so, under what conditions? Burnouts on the rev limiter, etc.? Thanks for the update.
  3. RXT Clutch newbie info?

I have the McLeod ss flywheel. Thanks, Jared. I think you are correct about my need to adjust driving style. I am always reluctant to pour on the throttle and slip the clutch because I feel like I'll wear the clutch prematurely. I definitely could work on slipping it faster. The scratching...
  4. RXT Clutch newbie info?

Unfortunately the "scratchy" noise is there to stay (or at least in my case it is). I have approximately 1500 miles on my RXT. Frankly I'm not a huge fan of the drivability with this clutch. I get a ton of chatter (violent shaking) if I don't give the car enough throttle when leaving from a...
  5. Driveshaft Install

I am planning to install a DSS aluminum driveshaft on my car tomorrow. I am looking for tips for anyone who has already done this. A couple of questions: Is it necessary to remove the exhaust or should I be able to slide the old and new shaft out/in the back half of the car? What are...
  6. Steeda and Nitto Tire Testing NT555 G2

What do you guys think about running the G2 up front and 555R out back. I currently run the 555/555R combo and it seems to work well.

  8. How Fast have you gone in your S550?

GT - 135mph - on a closed course naturally. ...might as well take #1 for a second.
  9. nGauge Guys.. What are you monitoring.

You are correct. I had it backwards again!!! Per an old message from Jon Lund, negative number means it is adding timing. Positive means it is pulling timing. Sorry for any confusion
  10. nGauge Guys.. What are you monitoring.

That's a good question that I don't know the answer to. I think the parameter is "perceived octane," which makes me think that is what the computer is reading. I just don't know.

    ...perhaps we're off course
  12. Has anyone installed VMP Boost a pump on a 2015?

Looks right. You'll definitely know. It'll either go on and "click" or not. If it doesn't work, just get in touch with Justin and he'll straighten you out.
  13. Has anyone installed VMP Boost a pump on a 2015?

I don't have a photo, but it is a plastic line running down one side of the male connector that prevents it from plugging into the female side. Once that is shaved down, it will snap in fine.
  14. MT-82 to 6r80

I've got too much money/time in this motor/car to think about trading cars. May just end up sticking with manual, but I know several people have made the switch, so I just wanted to get some feedback. Thx for the responses so far.
  15. MT-82 to 6r80

...wouldn't be concerned with factory or bolt-on power, but I'm a "little" beyond that.
