  1. Six dollar solution to seat chaffing....

It's sad that this is even a topic. Seats in a +$60K race car should not show wear so quickly/easily.
  2. Upgrading to R, thoughts?

Buy a slightly-used R model. Any year. Get it for below MSRP. Put on Michelin Pilot Super Sport 4s tires. They don't hook-up like the Cup 2s, but have zero tramlining. I traded my '16 Tech Pack for a '16 R. Never looked back or had buyer's remorse. The R is a blast to drive and is...
  3. Rear Bumper Fix

Get the updated bumper cover supports from the dealership and do it yourself. Takes some time, but it's easy.
  4. From GT 350 to GT 350R

Funny you bought then asked the Forum. Seems you already knew there is a difference..it is tangible. And like Tomster, I want an additional R for my collection.
  5. Calculating the HP from known 12psi Of Boost

    755 HP, 603 lb-ft. I'm heading to Vegas.
  6. Did you buy a Shelby and now wish you bought a Mustang GT ?

Like others, I was also never interested in Mustangs until the S550 GT350. I drove an EcoBoost and 5.0L after I purchased my first 2016 GT350 sight-unseen. Both were powerful and fun to drive. The first GT350 was purchased (instead of a Modena) because the Ferrari met resistance from the...
  7. 350R wheel care

Wheels off, I used BleechWhite (sp?) and a bristled brush to clean the ceramic coating when I got my used R. The barrels were filthy, but good as new when I finished.
  8. Any things to know specifically about 2016 GT350?

Ford made 5 GT350 variants in MY '16. Base, Track, Tech, Base R and R w/Electronics Packages. On a sales brochure, Ford even labels each version: Base- "Limited Demand Anticipated", Track- "Track Day Specialist", Tech- "Smart, Sophisticated Performer", Base R- "Hardcore Track Use" and R...
  9. I defy Best Buy so much for this.. That I just had to do it.

Have that school bus park there next time. The payload-to-miles/gallon efficiency is exceptionally high on a high-capacity vehicle...
  10. Any lift recommendations?

2-post for work. 4-post for storage. Additional equipment needed to lift wheels off of the 4-post runways is rediculously expensive. You'll want runway trays to prevent the upper vehicle fluids from dripping on the lower.
  11. Any lift recommendations?

I own a Derek Weaver 2-post lift. Was able to pick it up at the warehouse in Ft. Worth, but I believe they'll ship it anywhere in the CONUS for free. Great deal and rated for 9K lbs. I'm looking to buy a 4-post from DW for storage use.
  12. R No Nav Car Available

The window stickers show the dealer is located in Orlando. I wonder what the story is behind that dealer exchange.
  13. DCT would you if you could?

An automated manual (F-1 style) transmission is just like any other driver aid. The memory-postion seat, automatic up-down window, anti-lock brake, lane-keeping/collision mitigation system, etc. in consumer vehicles, is to ease the task of driving (and keep us alive). Like other posters have...
  14. Need some Info

I had my GT350 Track Attack/FPRS GT350 cut fuel at 7500 RPM during the final session of the day. The wrench light also illuminated. An instructor wrote it up at the end of the session. He didn't seem surprised. I imagine it happens from time to time with those cars. Ford Performace will...
  15. 350R Owners... Regrets or Remorse?

I bought a 2016 non-R in February 2016, only because I couldn't find an R for sale or at a reasonable price. Two years later...I found a 2016 R. Used, but below MSRP. Loved the color, so I traded the non-R. After a year of R ownership, I have not once regretted the decision, lost of money in...
  16. Trading my '15 GT for a slightly used '18 350R

Who knows how the previous owner bought, used or why they're selling it. It's basically new and covered under both bumper-to-bumper and powertrain warranties. As long as the wheels are not damaged beyond service, a little sandpaper and touch-up paint will cosmetically "repair" them...
  17. Clutch Replaced? If so what mileage?

Symptoms? How many miles are on your GT350 and how has it been driven? A twin disk clutch should last quite a long time if not abused (riding the clutch, holding the car steady on a slope with the clutch, etc). I replaced the clutch (for the second time) on my 1991 NSX at 230,000 miles. It...
  18. Replaced Voodoo Engine

Sorry to hear man. That's why I recommended (way back in post #697) that you check everything out after you got it back. No disrepect to your techs, but replacing any engine is a significant endevour...should only be accomplished by specialists not stealerships.
  19. How many of you don't consume oil?

Mileage, modification and misuse are all variables in engine failures. Here's my beef with all the motor debate. The Voodoo is a high-stung motor. Use it as designed and it will eventulally wear beyond design limits and/or fail. Drag car motors are torn down after every run to replace "worn"...
  20. GT350 $110k

Crickets from OP for nearly a month. marks...what did you decide:question:
