  1. Lloyd floor Matt durability

Yep. Lots of hairballs removed during frequent vacuumings. They look better than the OEM carpets, though.
  2. The ford performance air filter

Is there a need to wash, dry then re-oil the blue FP filter? I always tended to over-oil my K&N filters...
  3. GT350 On The Brain

Sounds like you should stay focused on the Type R for now. I'm an S2000 and NSX owner and ever since the purchase of my GT350R, they've been unofficially placed on "in storage" status. Waiting for a less expensive used (now) or new (after the GT500 is released) GT350 will give you time to get...
  4. Some fun at the track attack

Copy. I don't remember them doing that when I attended.
  5. Some fun at the track attack

Tomster, Looks like the lead-follow FPRS Mustang in front of you at the beginning of the video. Why did you wait to enter the track? I remember they briefed 2-3 car lengths between each vehicle during the L-F laps, and that each lap would be faster if we kept up the spacing.
  6. Door gap suddenly closed and rubbed paint off

Easy fix. Just unbolt the quarter panel and shift it forward. I've done minor adjustments to all alumimium panels/bumper covers on both of my GT350s. All you need is a 10mm socket and some touch-up paint applied to the bolts after they're torqued back down.
  7. Pressure Washer Incident

I bought my first GT350 sight-unseen and was extremely disappointed that the OTTs were stickers...I paid $60K for a car with sticker stripes?!?!?! A roof "decal" had damage. Ford provided a replacement for just that section, but wanted the original returned. Really, it's a sticker? I...
  8. GT350: Yay or Nay? Advice wanted :}

The current GT350 is awesome. Get one as soon as your budget allows. It's not inexpensive to own or maintain, but that shouldn't be a con if your cash flow is sufficient. My only advice is to realize that this is a track car. Yes, it can be daily driven, but it doesn't have all the latest in...
  9. Would you buy a GT350R again?

I paid a $19,200 delta after "taking it in the shorts" with my '16 Tech Pack trade-in. Would do it again, and again, and again...it's only money. In my opinion, the investment-to-return ratio is heavy in the favor of return.
  10. For those with 350R Carbon Wheels

If you get to it regularly, a blast from an air hose will remove the majority of the brake dust from the inner cylinder.
  11. 2 post lift for the 350

I don't think the top piece on a two-post lift is technically a "support". Realize all lifts flex. The stanchions could easily fail fore, in for aft if improperly designed, manufactured, installed or used. I'd rather they flex then fail. Watch any large aircraft wing on takeoff; they flex a...
  12. Tire sale at FPRS

Could be they're transitioning to the PS4Ss or need to move "old" stock. It'll be interesting to get the tire's date of manufacture from folks who take this offer.
  13. 2 post lift for the 350

I've got a Derek Weaver two-post installed in a ten foot high shop anchored into 4" 3500PSI concrete floor. Great deal and very easy to install. I had an electrician do the 220V power line to it. I looked into a four-post option, but couldn't see paying the extra cost for the centerline jacks...
  14. 2015 GT 350 Mecum auction in Austin.

I'll continue to purchase ExxonMobile stock until the first fully-electric airliner is IOC. After that, all bets are off.
  15. 10,000 Mile Review On My R

My bolsters are noticably wearing. Only 8,500 miles. I plan on swapping out the d-side with p-side lower cushion. Done that in many cars to "share the wear". I'm very careful to NOT put weight on the side of the seat during ingress and egress. It's OK...it's just a car.
  16. 2015 GT 350 Mecum auction in Austin.

In fifty years, all 2015 GT350s will be fetching a dump truck load of cash. 2015 GT350R's will fetch two semi loads.
  17. Keep or Sell Original Wheels??

Keep them. I replaced my Tech Pack OEMs with 6GR wheels. When I traded up, I wished I'd kept the originals to swap back. You never know when you'll want the originals back.
  18. Would you buy a GT350R again?

I had my 2016 Tech Pack for two years. At the time of purchase, it was the only GT350 I could find in my area. From the beginning of my "GT350 awareness", I wanted an R because of the hype in magazines, TV and YouTube (remember, the R was R&T's 2016 Performance Car of the Year). The Tech Pack...
  19. 2017 R Poser

I guess this is what folks do when they want an R, but can't find one...make one! Then they get bored and move on to the next "project". I can only imagine the additional money they put into these vehicles would have originally bought them a legit R. I think the first ad has real Carbon...
  20. 2017 R Poser

FYI, there's a 2017 R "clone" currently posted for sale on ebay. It's not officially advertised as an R model in the main title, but IS in the Item Description and looks to have all the bits of an R (except the dash plate and VIN) for $65,000. The fine print states it's "converted to R type"...
