With the FLIR camera, what's the resolution like? Worded another way, will you see 5 degrees difference across the tire?....how about 15?

On a PP car I wouldn't change the pads. I like the way they feel, easy to modulate. Oil I wouldn't worry about.

Nope, I haven't tried that. I just push it all the way up to the headliner and as far right as I can. For autocross. For track days I do the same thing but bring it down just enough so that I can see out the back.

It's all I can do to get the rear view mirror out of the way so I can see ahead in right hand turns. It would drive me bonkers to have to look at that spider on the windshield.

The right driver will make just about anybody feel slow. Don't sweat it. While I _think_ (don't know, haven't driven one) the Camaro is the better car, that doesn't mean the S550 is out of competition. The time difference is all in the noise between all the cars in FS.

Idunno. I only drove 100 miles with 255s on the front. I don't think the 275s are vague at all......I don't think the 285s would be either. Would they be better on 10s?.....yep. Keep in mind, almost everybody that has responded are on RE71Rs.

This. Times eleventy. AutoX is about the most fun you can have in your car with your clothes on. Trackdays will be easier and the instruction will make more sense with an AutoX background. see also: evo school

I also haven't had any issues when using this method. Start car well in advance of autox. Hold brake and hold button to shut off advance track. Do not shut car off. I leave it run for the entire heat. If it is warm out, we open the hood between runs.

Let me clarify. Within the subforum, some threads deserved to stand on their own, like the E85 thread, that was perfect. Some not so much. There were already brake pad and brake fluid threads, you could have easily gone in there to find your answer or ask your questions regarding those...
