The exhaust once fitted just completed the car. However it didn't take long for the mod bug to bite. One thing I have been proud of is that every mod on this car was completed by myself (only person to blame)
Hey everyone as most of this is done, I'll be playing catch up for awhile.
My wife and I purchased a Race red V8 Must here in Australia list price from memory was a little over $60,000 which was very reasonable.
Loved the car didn't like the exhaust note so the first mod was a set of Roush...
Hi Abletoxx
I have a 2017 GT with a Gen 3, 2.9L Whipple, when it was at stage 2 without a BAP I was hitting just under 700rwhp on an axle dyno. This was on the Whipple Flare tool with the safeties off. I think you will hit higher then me with a Gen 5. This was driven hard at the drags, track and...
Hello all,
Recently purchased a set of custom made coilovers from a company here in Australia, the spring rate they sent me is 9kg/mm (500lb/in) front and 10kg/mm (560lb/in) rear (I did ask to be set up for roll racing / drag racing). I've had to add 50mm pre-load to get the rear wheels to sit...
I'm a qualified motorcycle mechanic, sticking my head under the bonnet and changing timing gears and oil pump gears of a 17 Mustang surprised me how similar each side bank was to a 1000cc motorcycle motor. I think you could achieve your 10,000rpm limit by trying to limit valve float and...
I have the Sportlines from Eibach however I wish I had of spent the little bit extra and just done the coilovers from the beginning. I don't have camber plates and my car alignment place hasn't had an issue aligning the car, I've had it done a few times, lowing the car, new 20in wheels fitted...
Hey Mate
I'm in QLD and have a 17 stage 2 Whipple running on E85, I'm was having the same issue as you are however I got a custom tune from Palm Beach Dyno and it sorted out a lot of that problem. My tuner was Rob and it was all done over emails and there was heaps of talk between the two of us...
So why is that misinformation? It was meant to be more of a question. I'm keen to see why an engine would all of a sudden bend forged rods as I am running a similar set up. There has to be a reason, I have seen the effects of pistons moving around in a cylinder at 13,500rpm, I have also seen...
No worries mate I'm keen to see how you go as well. I really didn't want to drop a lot of money in case it doesn't work and I have to go to a Fore system
No they are not return style, just drop in. I'm just saving a little cash to pull the trigger on one. Going to ring and get a price on the 1200hp in tank fuel pump. I have seen good reviews about their stuff in Barras and other Aussie Ford engines
I have been looking at going down this route. I wasn't going to use the GT350 hat but try out https://www.kpmfuelsystems.com.au/product/streetfighter-mustang-gt-1250hp-in-tank-fuel-module/ they also have a 900hp single fuel pump and going to 1500cc injectors for about $2250. I wasn't planning on...
Correct me if I'm wrong but the 18 was known to have piston slap against the cylinder wall? (the BBQ tick). If you engine had this issue under boost it may have just rubbed enough to grab the piston and bend the rod? Were you running heavier oil 5w50/10w40? Did you have Cera-tec in the oil? I'm...
Yes it is so much fun to drive. Coming from road bikes it's such a pleasure having air conditioning, music, cup holders and still having all that power.
I still want more power though
Got the car dyno'd today, I was very happy with the numbers that come up. Stage 2 Whipple (Gen 3) OPG and Billet sprocket gears other than that stock motor. E85 next :sunglasses: Dyno Result Mustang 2 by Matt-23 posted Jun 5, 2019 at 6:20 PM
