When you start buying signature wheels for your car 9 months before delivery you have fully committed to spending money on the car you don’t have. The tow hook is just a drop! Go for it.
Congrats! It's a pleasant surprise!
I had the same experience knowing I was number 5 or 6 on my dealers list (even though I was put on it over 3 years ago before the car was even officially announced) I was ready to have to sit out 2020 and wait for a 2021, but I got the call last July, placed...
Bummer!
They ordered one side actuator for me and someday when it's in stock again, the part will get delivered and they will install and it and we'll see what happens.
I have a track day later this month, so wondering, could I put them in Track Mode and pull the fuse and have them stay in...
I will have essentially recreated that on mine (Signature Wheels instead of CF), but sure would have been nice to have that as a choice and keep the back seat! Good on Ford for recognizing the folks that want more handling than the "handling pack" provided.
Wonder if it will come with CFTP...
Yup!
Tried to start with the simplest thing first but since it was in today getting the oil separator installed I thought I would have them check it out since lubrication was no help. I did a visual on the wires and all connections were solid and I didn’t see any straining when I checked it out...
Here is the latest:
Lubrication was short lived solution. Back to problems this week, maybe it never really fixed it.
Dealer found code P26FE stored in PCM.
They determined that the left side actuator needs to be replaced. The part is ordered and some day when it is available they are going...
Minor update today. No new progress on the car but my Explorer ST turned into 2020 F150.
I now have a real tow vehicle and much more practical tool for daily driving.
This is a nice truck! Iconic Silver, Platinum trim with the 3.5 EcoBoost and almost 13,000 lbs of towing capacity.
The other thing that comes to mind here is, if you have CFTP wheels or you have invested in a set of Signature Wheels do you really want whatever random tire shop potentially damaging your wheels because that's where you ended up after your tow? This is piece of mind on that. Will have to...
So you are looking at something like this for a spare? Tire height wise, it's right in the middle between the front and rear tires.

If we can buy...
I have always just carried around the fix a flat, but a functional spare would be nice. I hit up Terrance on his Facebook post, so hopefully we'll hear from him soon.
You guys keep reminding me I need to hit the order button on these mats.
I think it’s going to be few and far between when it comes to licensed products with the new Shelby snake / GT500 logo from Ford Performance. So I was going to opt for Shelby mats with the blue CS logo to go with the FPB...
A little vlog entry from the shop that did the PPF / Ceramic / Re-Stripe on my car. Start at 6:20
Better pictures of the finished product coming soon I hope!
Yikes, I was hoping it would make 103db.
Around here we have Laguna Seca which most organizations are dealing with a 90db or 92db noise limit on most days, with few / rare 105db or unlimited sound days each year.
Other two closest tracks, Sonoma and Thunderhill typically have 103 or 105...
Did a lubrication on the exhaust valves tonight.
Let it set for a while and then started up and started cycling through the modes at idle.
worked for a bit and the dreaded error came back.
hit them again let it set and cycled through the modes again and this time was able to cycle through...
