  1. Another supercharger cooling line routed incorrectly?

I am L1986 and went down the assembly line in the middle of June. I looked at it initially and didn't see it pinched, but will take a closer look and report back.
  2. Custom shift dial

Was recently wondering the same thing.
  3. The Side Projects Thread

Just getting started on mine. While waiting for the GT500 I decided I wanted something different. Something lighter, with a manual transmission, something that still maintained that analog feel but bridged the gap to modern cars. A V8 and good power was still a requirement. The answer was a...
  4. Consensus on PPF and Ceramic

This is the first car I have done anything on and opted for full PPF / Ceramic. I track the car so I wanted as much protection as possible, if you have ever been on the track you know that race rubber and other things can fly and hit the car anywhere. I have cleaned race rubber marks off of...
  5. Updated 3/27/2021 & 5/5/2022 - A look at the 2020 GT500 and exhaust system valves

In the latest installment of as the actuator turns .... Went in for repair work to replace the harness today, for those wondering, they ordered and received the entire pig tail. After further evaluation, they determined the actual valve in the exhaust was binding. So I will be having the...
  6. AIRAID GT500/GT350 Synthamax non-oiled air filter

That’s correct. You can also see that just pulling the lid off the stock air box has similar gains. As sitting on the dyno it removes a restriction. But in the real world the 1/4 mile gains are minimal. Theory goes that at speed the air box is pressurized and the big dyno gains don’t matter...
  7. Jmeo's 2020 Shelby American GT500 SE Wide Body Build (+ "Phase 2")

Congrats on the car heading out there. It's going to be exciting to see the transformation! I considered it for mine, but with so much already into PPF / Ceramic etc... I couldn't justify it. It's going to take what was a special car and make it just that much better.
  8. AIRAID GT500/GT350 Synthamax non-oiled air filter

Thanks for bumping this! I have used AirRaid filters in the past had just begun to figure out what to do here.
  9. Billy Johnson - GT500 CFTP in-car video from Buttonwillow #13 CCW

Great video, thanks for sharing everything with the community. I have always had the philosophy that running higher octane at the track in my tuned / blown S197 was cheap insurance. Do you feel that is not really necessary here in California with 91 Octane and tracking the car on a stock engine...
  10. Recaros or Not?

I had factory leather Recaros in my '13 S197 and I ordered the Recaros in my 2020 GT500. I do track the car and they are light years ahead of the old Recaros. They are for sure more snug and tighter fitting, but not uncomfortable by any means. I am 6' 1" about 230 with a 36"ish waist. I don't...
  11. From ZL1 to L2702

Congrats, beautiful car and one of the rarest colors for 2020 GT500s. My previous car was a Race Red S197 GT, with Black stripes. Love the race red with black.
  12. Raceseng Tow Hook for the GT500

Drilled my cover, I have the ZL1 hook, and to smoothly take the piece on and off it seemed the hole would need to be a little larger as to avoid pitting my PPF on the bumper surround during insertion and removal of the cover. I used the step drill bit and just kept opening it as needed ...

  15. Anyone going to LAGUNASECA (unlimited sound)ON sunday THE 20TH?

I totally missed this! It was a great day. Got to meet Alessandro and some other members from the Mustang community. Got the GT500 out for it's first day at the track, bone stock and no track alignment. It's got a lot to give still but I am looking forward to learning and dialing in this car.
  16. Paging KB

Not yet. Will get it drilled this week. Likely tomorrow. Right after picking it up I had a double header track day at Laguna Seca and had to hit the road to pick up my new enclosed trailer. Just like the 500 it was an exercise in patience with COVID related production delays. 9 months after...
  17. Updated 3/27/2021 & 5/5/2022 - A look at the 2020 GT500 and exhaust system valves

I had not seen that. That’s it exactly.
  18. Updated 3/27/2021 & 5/5/2022 - A look at the 2020 GT500 and exhaust system valves

It is indeed with connectors at both ends. relatively easy replacement. The dealer has already ordered the part and will change under warranty.
  19. Updated 3/27/2021 & 5/5/2022 - A look at the 2020 GT500 and exhaust system valves

At initial inspection without pulling down the rear diffuser it looked okay and wasn’t visibly rubbing but after getting it back from the dealer after they changed the actuator it was clear it needed a closer look.
  20. Updated 3/27/2021 & 5/5/2022 - A look at the 2020 GT500 and exhaust system valves

Update: Warranty repair today. They replaced the actuator once. Tested, had the error. they put in another actuator. tested fine. I picked it up, drove it, it was fine for awhile and then got the error again. pulled it apart tonight and found this. 3 of the 4 wires in the actuator...
