Not going to argue value, everyone has their own idea of value, HOWEVER, I think what you have missed, is that the 5.2 is not even close to a bored out 5.0. It is an almost entirely new engine using a flat plane crank with an 8K+ red line! The flat plane crank versus a traditional cross plane...
Umm if I am reading the stats on the 458 right, it makes 398 lb/ft of torque and 562 horse, on a direct injection engine. Also, Ford has only said 400+ lb. ft of torque, unless I missed an official statement on hp/torque.
GT 500?
Nothing really new, but any mention of the GT500 is worth mentioning!!!

Just based on the mount of work on a new crank design, I would assume it to be the lifespan of the S550, unless the voodoo will make its way into the GT following the mid cycle refresh. The condor/trinity had a pedigree going back to the Cobra R, I would be surprised to see ford drop the work...
"According to Nair, during the sixth-generation Mustang’s planning GT350 emerged as the “buzz car” the team wanted to do first. And it just so happened that Ford Powertrain had begun exploring a wild new rev-happy V8 based on the existing Coyote architecture around the same time; the two became...
You will not see power window delete on a stock street offering. Same reasoning that the Z/28 still has power windows. It is simply cost prohibitive for a manufacturer to have to engineer two complete sets of window mechanisms, door panels as well as the actual outer crank mechanism that will...
Ok, I just have to rant here for a minute. I am not picking on 2112 in particular, his post was just the latest to refer to the "ADM" factor.
ADM is simple to take out of the equation. Don't fucking pay it!!! It is that damn simple. If your local dealership is a douche bag and wants to add 5...
Pilot Super Sports have a 30K warranty on them. As long as you aren't burning rubber or hanging it out on the hairy edge every day, I assume you should get 20K - 25K+ of good wear. Also, I can confirm that they stay fairly pliant at temperatures down to 30-35 F. I have them on my GT 500, they...
I hear you, but I still feel that the GT350 will be slotted below the Z/28 and above the 1le. This theorem is of course based on Ford releasing a hardcore version of the GT 350 ( ccb, possibly more aero, Pilot Sport Cups etc.) to compete with the Z/28. With that price range (low to mid 50's) I...
The ZL1 fighter will be the (if/when released) GT 500. High horsepower F/1 car. I see the GT350 as a competitor to the 1le car, or a more streetable version of the Z28.
You can always find someone who is willing to pay more for the privilege of being first. It still doesn't make it right, and any dealership that does so is a dealership I will not do business with.
People said the same thing (nothing left on the table, maxxed out)when the Coyote was brought out in 11. They were wrong. It remains to be seen with the Voodoo.
Yes, I believe it is. the measure of hp/liter speaks volumes about the volumetric efficiency of the power plant.Don't get me wrong, I like GM power trains, but the Voodoo is a really cool engine.
Also, the original Z06 had much of the sound deadening removed, thinner glass and was on a brand...
I thought I read somewhere that you were going to increase the concavity on the front's of the FF01's? Did I misunderstand? Great looking wheel, but I like the front and back to have a similar concave profile.
