  1. Cracked calipers?

Any fault or damage in your braking system needs to be replaced, especially if you are tracking your car. The two worst things that can happen at the track: 1. Your car catches on fire. 2. Your brakes fail.

  3. RaiderJatt02's GT350 story, first 1000 miles and beyond...

Looks like you are using really smooth inputs! Your shifts are really quick, can you go over your shifter mods, if any? I struggle to shift that quickly in my GT350. Also, I see in turns 7 and 7a and in turn 11 you are a bit off the rumble strips...is this a line you've been instructed on as...
  4. Air Conditioner Issues

EDIT: Mine was out due to the shop that last worked on it knocking loose one of the AC lines. It's getting so I hate taking my car to any shop, as it's more likely than not that there will be some incident or problem that takes place. Sigh.
  5. Air Conditioner Issues

Mine is out as of three weeks ago. Fans function but no cold air. Taking it to the stealership next week.
  6. Honey Badger's Completely Off-the-Rails Race Car Build and Track Adventure Thread

I love RA, recommend it as well, but I think it's a scary as hell but super fun track that requires large cojones to drive fast. No room for error going onto the front straight out of turn 12, and I almost ate the wall exploring the limit of grip in the Esses. YMMV.
  7. First track day, first crash day

For those of you who think this is a validation to not take your high-performance car to the track, I think you should reconsider. A track, drag strip, or autocross is the only place you can safely explore the performance limits of your Mustang, regardless of the trim. We don't know the...

  9. Shelby locator search tool

autolist is fairly accurate, and you can sort by time on market to ferret out dealers that may be willing to bargain for cars that have been lot-sitters. End-of-month is the best time to reach out. The only accurate resource that I know of available to retail shoppers is the shop ford website...
  10. What did you do to your GT350 today?

FINALLY...after many trials and tribulations, the details of which I will not bore you with, I had an opportunity to take her to my home track, High Plains Raceway, for the Porsche Club Rocky Mountain event, and wring her out for the first time. Very hot days, but the car ran superbly. What an...
  11. GT 350/R Positive Post my top 10.

Engine braking is fine on the street, but is not fast on a track. The brakes and engine serve unique purposes: brakes to slow the car only enough to carry maximum speed around corners, engine to accelerate.
  12. GT4 Mustang Vs. Street Cars @ Sonoma

I did a McLaren driving experience at Sonoma last October. That track is fun, but scary as balls. A guy put his beautiful 964 911 into the wall at turn 8 in one of the other sessions. I'm not sure I'd want to run my R or do an WRL/AER enduro there, the risk/reward ratio might not be where I...
  13. SCCA/ NASA Time Trials, Anyone?

Based on my experience, you can expect a better level of driving instruction, more emphasis on safety, and less likelihood of losing track time at a NASA event. They are usually more organized and have more thorough instructors than you will find with SCCA. Some SCCA regions may be more...
  14. SCCA/ NASA Time Trials, Anyone?

2nd that on having to go through NASA HPDE and do a time trials check-ride before you can get your NASA time trials license and compete. I'm not sure which class the GT350R will be in, but stock street cars traditionally do not do well in time trials. You will be competing against bespoke...
  15. Prices holding pretty well. Compare to RS3

I put 136K on my Audi RS4 and loved it-to this day it is the best street car I've ever owned. It was the first car I tracked, and one of the few stock cars out there you can do a full track day with and drive it to work the next day. The fit and finish were exemplary. I am glad I got the...
  16. Prices holding pretty well. Compare to RS3

Hoodoo, do you do track days with your GT350?
  17. Best Track Mod for the money?

If you are at a beginner or intermediate skill level, then I second getting more track time and quality instruction, preferably with a private driving coach if you can swing it, or via NASA, SCCA, or some other organization that offers instruction. Your mileage may vary on instructor quality...
  18. New 18 R for $4,085 UNDER sticker. $62,405

All of the highlighted items listed as removed are stock on a GT350R, but the 920A package adds back all of said items.
  19. Pics from local Denver Cars and Coffee at Vehicle Vault

I was told we get 1 car space where our table will be, but I'll see what I can do.
  20. Pics from local Denver Cars and Coffee at Vehicle Vault

I'll be there early to set up the NASA table for the event with another instructor, otherwise I would say yes...
