  1. Shelby American upholstery upgrades

If you desire Shelby logos, there is always licensing issues. But like floor mats, there are vendors who have license to use official Shelby logos and styles. I saw a recent Overhaulin' episode with a GT350 and Foose did Shelby logo upgrades to the interior. I am unsure if it was licensed by...
  2. What's the funniest/oddest/ignorant comment someone said about your 350?

When I first got my GT350 my neighbor (a Mitsubishi Mirage enthusiast and a man from another land) asks me 'Is that a new car? It is BROKE! Why it make SO much NOISE! Not GOOD QUALITY car'. Needless to say I open the exhaust valves immediately as I fire up the Voodoo.
  3. What is this ?

It is a ground wire to dissipate static charge built up by air friction. Potentially it could arc and interfere with electronics and radio frequencies.
  4. Ceratec in oil- how badly does it discolor it?

    From the 2019 GT350 Owner's Supplement:

  6. What's the funniest/oddest/ignorant comment someone said about your 350?

It's nice when you get a compliment. And thankfully there are enough motorheads left in the world to do so. But in today's world, most anytime someone you do not know has something to say to you it is usually some virtue signaling, passive aggressive, victimization excuse as to why they have...
  7. Interior footwell lighting

I went with cool. Yes the bulb sizes are the same as the standard Mustang. Not a good pic (posted earlier in another thread with other interior trim mods I made), but you get an idea of the color temp. The oem bulbs are very yellow and dim.
  8. Interior footwell lighting

Interior lighting and customization LEDs are much in fashion right now in the car biz. Tech has overtaken performance for most buyers. The ShelbyGT350 is targeting driving and track capability over creature comforts. I think the interior lighting / digital dash decision fell into the GT500...
  9. I think i am regretting Race Red due to Police breaking balls daily.

I really do not think the color matters much in being noticed or attracting unwanted attention. This car in any color is going to be noticed. I do think contrasting stripes make it more visible at distance. The are several law enforcement members here, and I suspect they would not claim Race...
  10. Interior footwell lighting

I swapped to bright white LED bulbs. They significantly improve the interior lighting when the door opens, even lighting the footwells. I believe I purchased them from SuperBright LEDs.
  11. I think i am regretting Race Red due to Police breaking balls daily.

When you buy and drive a vehicle like this, you are going to attract attention, good and bad. Although I did not buy the GT350 to get attention, I knew it was part of the game. Almost every fuel stop someone will comment or wander over for a looksee. Although I have not been pulled over I...
  12. Mechanical Noises from Rear of Vehicle While Parked

If you never registered FordPass, set up wifi connectivity or cellular hot spot your car is 'off the grid' unless data from the onboard computer is physically downloaded for user information. That said, Ford can still 'see' the car with the built in cellular - it would not be a registered...
  13. Mechanical Noises from Rear of Vehicle While Parked

I think the exhaust valves cycling is part of the car's boot up process. Periodically the car 'wakes' when pinged by the FordPass servers for updates on location, battery level and if configured, for software updates. When the car 'wakes' it has a boot up routine similar to turning on the...
  14. How about this for a true track tire....Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect

Is there not a Ford Performance variant of the PSC2s that is engineered specifically for the GT350/R? Perhaps this new Connect variant is better, or perhaps the FP variant is better suited?
  15. Shelby GT350 Garage Photos

My niece refers to the car cover as 'car jammies'.
  16. 19 GT350--How Much Oil is Normal in Catch Can?

Even if your car sits unused, the Oil Life % will tick down over time. It basically is set for annual changes. I suppose it will count down faster if you drive the car a lot, and perhaps if you drive it hard.
  17. Multiple rattles / noises in new 19 GT350 Please read * Anal rattle haters please come in. lol

I have found the best way to cast out demons and bad JuJu is to speak to the Voodoo in a calm Jamaican accent.

  19. Used 2016 GT350, yay or nay?

I agree with 526 HSE. I would also drive one before making a decision as you note some attributes may be a 'downgrade'. I would not purchase a vehicle based on what you read alone. I seem to regularly be impressed by what I read and I am disappointed by my own seat time. The best gauge to...
