Lol they actually split up the development where Ford took the lead on the 10 speed RWD transmission, and GM took the lead on the FWD 9 speed. So the 10 speed is basically just a Ford transmission.

They need to just make a small twin turbo V8 instead of going to a twin turbo V6. Weld two of their 1.5L Ecoboosts together to make a 3.0L twin turbo V8. They're already making 400hp out of a 3.0L V6 for Lincoln so by the time 2020 rolls around they should be able to get 450-500hp out of a...
It is because the engines are set up for top end power with huge valves and high lift/duration cams. This works great at high RPM giving a ton of power but it takes away from low-end torque. At low engine speeds, big valves and high lift cause the air to enter the cylinders at lower velocity...
Look at the Camaro sales from when it originally came out in '09. It took until the 3rd month for its sales to start to peak. So next month will probably be a much better indicator than this month.
Yes, the combustion chamber of the higher compression engine will be smaller, but it will not have less air in it than the lower compression motor if they are both running the same boost.
If you have a 12:1 compression motor at 15 psi of boost, it will be at ~356.4 psi ((15psi + 14.7psi)*12)...
More compression will only make more power if your fuel can handle it without detonating. Otherwise you can run more boost with lower compression and make more power.
In the first turn, he slowed down to 56mph in the GT350R and only went down to 64mph in the Z28 but after that their speeds were about the same or the Mustang was slightly faster in the corners. I'm not sure what happened on that first turn.
And they got back to the 25.4 second 0-150 time. I don't know what happened on their comparison with the Camaro where they got like 29 seconds or whatever.
Car and Driver has a long-term 2016 Mustang GT now. I think it's the first GT in the media to be under 3800 lbs at 3782 lbs. It is a GTPP Premium with Recaros.
