  1. A/S tires year-round or separate summer/winter sets?

Most information I've read online seems to agree that A/S tires are perfectly capable of handling up to two or three inches of snow without any problems, provided one doesn't drive like an idiot. :D Again, if we get any more than a dusting around here, everything shuts down anyway and I'll be...
  2. Post Pix of your S550 with aftermarket wheels and tires

 Those look great! That's the same brand and size of tires I'm going with if I choose the staggered route. Will stick with 275/35s all around if I go with 20x10 squared.
  3. Trunk light blown fuse

Yep, blew mine too when I put an LED in the trunk. I found out AFTER the fact that you should really disconnect the electric plug for the trunk light before putting in an LED because it's so prone to being blown. Of course, hindsight is 20/20. It's a 10A Micro2 fuse and you can get them at most...
  4. Running pony lights on California special?

Yep. I love them, but they're a nifty little addition that IME don't serve any real purpose other than to amaze anyone who approaches your car. Get ready for lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" from people when the lights come on. No one ever knows that they come from the side mirror housing either. They...
  5. Exhaust pop during gear change.

I have the Steeda tune since I bought my CAI and SCT X4 from them as a combo pack. I don't mind a little bit of crackle and pop while shifting and decelerating, but it was way too obnoxious for me before the tune. My exhaust combo is loud enough as it is without throwing loud backfires into the...
  6. A/S tires year-round or separate summer/winter sets?

If central NC gets even an inch of snow, schools close, businesses close, everything shuts down here. I'd be staying home and not driving anywhere anyway. ;) @Need4SpeedMotors BTW Paul, I WILL be reaching out to you in the next few months to revisit my wheel/tire options for a September...
  7. Got a new Mustang - Concerned over gas mileage

My GT, with a 435hp 5.0L V8 gets the same overall combined MPG as my 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 did with a 290hp 3.6L V6. The Mustang even gets better highway mileage than the Jeep did. Guess which one is more fun as a daily driver? :D With combined city/hwy driving during the work week, I...
  8. Spring cleaning and mods

It is CRAZY loud at WOT, especially if you have the windows down. It sounds glorious at idle though and is very quiet below 2k RPMs. After having the setup for about a month though, I put sound dampening insulation in the whole trunk to help quiet the noise in the cabin just a bit while cruising...
  9. Exhaust pop during gear change.

I had LOTS of backfires and the popping/crackling noise with my H-pipe and Roush axle-back mufflers at first, but the noise went away almost completely after installing my CAI and tune.
  10. Spring cleaning and mods

I have the same setup. Get ready to wake the dead!
  11. Road trip

Took mine last October to drive around on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a few days. Even though it rained every day I was out there and the car was bone stock at the time, I still enjoyed it. I'm going back again in September with a VERY different car this time around after what will be a full year...
  12. Post Pix of your S550 with aftermarket wheels and tires

Those look REALLY good for 18s!
  13. A/S tires year-round or separate summer/winter sets?

Thanks for adding more feedback on those. They are definitely at the top of my A/S tire list, along with the BFG g-Force Comp-2s.
  14. Cars and coffee Morrisville / Cary Nc

Nice meeting you too! Can't wait to see those black stripes. ;)
  15. A/S tires year-round or separate summer/winter sets?

I've gone back and forth with that too. It's hard to tell if "hyper silver" from one company is closer to my stripes than another company's "titanium" or "platinum silver." My stripes appear darker head-on but almost white at a 45-degree angle, especially in bright sunlight. Therefore, I'm not...
  16. A/S tires year-round or separate summer/winter sets?

I've decided on silver wheels to match my stripes. While I liked the graphite M350s at first, I've changed my mind about them over time. My list seems to evolve constantly, but at the top currently is the TSW Geneva, which they just released for 2016. It's rotary forged and available in a...
  17. A/S tires year-round or separate summer/winter sets?

 I'm starting to think this way too. Plus, I was originally going to get new wheels/tires a month ago, but decided to stick with the OEM set for now because the Neros still had plenty of life left on them. I was OK with the choice to wait til September, but I don't think I can wait...
  18. Click When shifting

I'm at 12k miles and installed the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter and trans mount bushing a few weeks ago. While it is WORLDS better than stock, I have just a slight bit of shifting stiffness when the transmission is cold. I've still got the OEM trans fluid, but switching to Royal Purple when I do my oil...
  19. Noise while driving at 65mph

Does the noise still exist for people who have switched to an aluminum drive shaft? I have the stock one and it's pretty quiet, but was curious if switching to an aftermarket DS fixed the issue for anyone.
  20. My CHEAP Cargo Net

Here's the one I bought. It looks and works just like the Ford net and only cost me $25. http://www.amazon.com/Envelope-Trunk-Cargo-FORD-MUSTANG/dp/B00VY468RU
