You are correct that I have no way of measuring it, nor would I know what normal would be. so I just have to go by visual comparison and based on that observation I can conclude that the paint does appear to be thinner/cheaper quality than my previous cars. I only have my observations. It is...
I have owned several cars that were driven in the same environment and usually lower than my mustang is, as its still stock height (working on that). I have even been careful with this car not to tailgate from the get go because I know rock chips happen. Of all the other cars the Ford has fared...
I have quite a few rock chips on the front of my car as well. I have put about 24k miles on her in the past year but honestly a little disappointed in the paint quality. I think they decided to cheap out in the paint department in order to cut costs.
MRR M350 19x10s and some Conti DW 285/35 19. Before I got those I was looking at just getting the MPSS for the stock wheels. Would have got them for the 19s if they weren't on back order.
Ok got them mounted and balanced today. Unfortunately also broke the camera glass on the back of my S7  so crappy front camera pictures will have to do until next week.
And for a color comparison the center caps that came with the wheels on my Foundry 18s.
Edit...
I have a Gaurd GT. I received the Graphite wheels yesterday and should have tires by next week (could not get the MPSS they were on back order so went with Contis instead). I will post pictures once they are mounted. My thought was everyone does black so I will try Graphite. Using chrome lugs to...
Is there a noise ordinance and between what time is it in effect? If you are outside of the times or there isn't a written ordinance then who cares what they think.
awesome man. Quick question you say it clears without spacers but the spacers are required for the center cap. Could a different center cap work? Are your pictures with the spacers installed?
I put a lightweight flywheel on my miata I have experienced that. The hang in the mustang seems unnatural. It's like the ECU holds the rpm possibly for mpg reasons.
Just out of curiosity does this fix the engine braking delay? ie. when i let off the throttle there is a full second before you feel the engine braking/ car start to slow.
That was a good explanation. Kind of had the idea for a regular LSD but no clue about the torsen even though my miata had one. Kind of wonder what it would cost to swap in a torsen in my car.
I had a set of them for my miata and I am dying to see what they look like on one of these please post pics. Will the 18x10s not clear in the front? Personally I want a square setup. Mind throwing a rear on the front to see?
Also what offset?
Just wanted to pop in and say Hi. As a long time Chevy guy never thought I would own a mustang. Cant wait to get to wrenching. My last "sports car" was a miata. Don't hate that thing taught me a lot about suspension set up and car control. Hopefully some of that will carry over to the mustang...
