Oh I 100% was going to do dedicated power and ground. It was the ground on the original OSS connector that the diagram in question said to ground it whereas Bowler said to cap off.
Thanks for the reply! Got the trans bolted to the engine last night so I was going to actually wire it this evening. So you think I need to send both the black wire from the Bowler unit and the BN-BU wire to separate chassis grounds? I mean a ground is a ground. I figured just wire them...
I had a quick question about the wiring end. I am installing my 6060 this week and I have bowler harness which is identical for the t56.
1. I do not recall any plug for a "skip shift" solenoid on my 2017 mt82, was that eliminated by then? I assume the tr6060 doesn't have that useless...
So I sent my brand new RST mcleod back to mcleod to have a resplining done (from 23 to 26) so I can install my built tr6060. I also asked them to change the discs to an RXT as it was an RST. I got it back yesterday and the resplining was correct but the clutch discs are still full face discs...
For any non car use of the trailer my Acura MDX will be the tow vehicle. If I am moving a car, 99% of the time the s550, then I will just borrow my dad's f150.
Okay good, so im just that stupid I was looking at gaining width lmao. Well my buddy who welds is taking my trailer to weld on some other stuff so he will making the fender removeable.
Here's a dumb question for everyone with open trailers. I just bought an 82" x 18ft today brand new. How do you drive it on and get out of the car with the doors having only a couple of inches before hitting fenders? I have a winch and my buddy is going to weld on the adapter plate for me but...
I would like to install a maxjax in my garage but due to a piece of equipment in the other bay I want to be absolutely sure I will have room. Can anyone tell me what spacing they went with? My outer tire to outer tire (overall width) between my 2017 GT and my DD SUV is identical, so I will be...
Quick update to my post above. I called Mcleod and worked it all out. Basically you can run a GT flywheel (I have a mcleod) and then a GT pressure plate but then there is some Chevrolet twin disc set that is the correct pad thickness and spline count that works perfectly. So I am sending them...
Can anyone confirm the following flywheel clutch setup?
-I have a brand new mcleod steel flywheel for the 5.0 (should I move to the aluminum and should it be for the 5.0 or the gt500)
-Im going to exchange my brand new mt82 rst for a gt500 rxt
-Gt500 TO bearing
That combo works correct? Im...
About to pull the trigger on a tr6060 from ben, I would just like a few verifications from the experts who have done this.
Trans from Ben Calimer. Ben is including a crossmember but I believe I still need a mount?
Exchanging my brand new Mcleod RST sitting on the shelf for a GT500 RXT with the...
Can you PM a shipping price to Leonardtown MD 20650?
Include your current price as well. I am looking at a local stage 2 freshly built Calimer trans. So this could be another option.
Thanks for this thread. I was all about fumoto (not that they aren't a good option in other scenarios where ground clearance isn't an issue), but so glad I went this way instead. Ordered mine and it came in yesterday. Can't wait to get it installed on my next oil change.
Do you have a receipt from calimer for this build? And a VIN/Tag number on the trans listed on that receipt? Just making sure it is what you say it is. And this trans has had 0 miles since the rebuild?
