I can't see why you have to remove the bumper, it's just like installing the stock air box however it's been extended, I'm sure you can many we it and squeeze it through the gap, the mouth diameter is smaller than the opening to the grill where it extends, I can't see the need to remove the...

What is the purpose of the additional blocks (step up) on the outer edge? Redirect flow? Also some of the edges inside are very squared off? Can you tell me more about them please

The red really looks good! Did you have to remove the bumper or did you just take out the stock air of attatch it then insert it and bolt it back in?
