Blackout or tint (paint or vinyl) on tailights is technically illegal in a number of states. This link lists a number of discussions on it broken down by states.
Although with how bright our brake light LEDs are, i'm not sure most people would notice the blackout/tint. :eyebulge: :D
Here's the pic of the Orange Fury mirror with puddle light. Please ignore the dork with the Mission Hockey hat.
Like the show car earlier in the thread, there is a puddle light.
The OF 18 I saw at National Trail last month had the lamps. I will post a pic as soon as I get back to a laptop. I was taking photos trying to see if my overlays would fit the new stang.
And imho, I also agree it's novelty more than anything. BUT it gets a lot of positive comments from...
If I lived near one of the car manufacturers, I would think about wrapping a normal/generic/round looking daily driver in this camo, and see how many people think I was a new or pre-prod car. ;)
"He buddy what's that!?!"
"I could get in trouble if anyone found out I told you, but this is the...
Dude.. you are making this harder on me. ;) I thought I wanted black, but I am feeling the siren song of the red with blackout which will increase my chances of hearing the siren song of the police. :D
Nice job. Will you be blacking out the badging with the red one and black roof or creating a...
This look is really starting to grow on me.. especially like the new rims.
The last Red pony I had ('86) was a bit of a po-po magnet though. :headbang:

Its like the rug in The Big Lebowski .. it really ties the engine bay together. :)
Thanks Caffn8d. Now I am starting to wonder if the sound REALLY went away after the replacement of the passenger rear. It started to grind so it was obvious, but I am not sure :)
It might have been two things at once, and I (and the dealer) just assumed it was the bearing. I'm thinking it could...
Update on Zombie.
I am now hearing that "clink/tink" on the driver side rear. Its very slight this time, like a small hammer hitting a piece of steel. Sounds like a second wheel bearing is going bad. I don't hear it all the time, but it's usually when starting to roll.
Sure would have been...
As someone who is getting tired of maintaining and storing a second set of wheels and skids -- not funny! :)
Seriously though, looks like the 18's will be arriving late, it sucks having to go straight to snow tires. :headbonk:
Thanks Mike.
