Kelly, would you suggest I put the car on sort of like an "alignment rack" set up and break the bolts loose, spray some of the Amsoil onto the bearing and re-torque them?
Thank you,
Johnny.
Installed the Steeda adjustable camber arms and BMR adjustable toe links, now I'm getting a creaking/clunking when moving at a slower speeds (>25mph) under extremely minor bumpy road conditions in the rear end. But once the car starts to pick up speed, everything is normal and the creaking is...
Their linkage is still designed after the stock with the flex/pivot point on it, if I'm not mistaken. It might replace it with a bulkier option, but it's still the same design nonetheless, whereas the MGW has a solid piece with no flex/pivot point on the linkage.
I second what everyone's opinion on the MGW, I'm running their Race-Spec (25%) currently on my car -- honestly, every penny was worth it. Everyone who drives my car have had nothing but great things to say about it. I say it all the time, the satisfaction of shifting gears is like racking a bolt...
I told the girlfriend no more car parts for awhile haha but I'll definitely check it out when I order the exhaust, Kelly!
Maybe you got a newer/older batch or vice versa? My package didn't come with nuts for the bolts either, so I went to Home Depot and grabbed a set and used Loctite on them.
Installed the BMR Toe Links (TR005) Sunday afternoon along with the Steeda Rear Camber Arms (555-4123), both adjustable. Already posted this in my "Build Sheet," but figured I'd post it here as well to give customer feedback for future buyers.
Both were a pretty straight forward install...
**Update**
Installed the BMR Toe Links (TR005) Sunday afternoon along with the Steeda Rear Camber Arms (555-4123), both adjustable.
Both were a pretty straight forward install, although I must say the Camber Arms was a tedious install. There's no room for a ratchet when getting to the inner...
For $60, I think it might be worth the try. It's a 2 piece design right, and you just use the lower height version of the 2, correct? Still haven't did much research on it.
The BMR handling springs are, in my personal opinion, perfectly matched with the Koni's -- and from what I've read about the Steeda Ultalites, they're also a really good match. Basically any higher spring rated linears pair really well with the Konis. Still fiddling with the right settings for...
Correct, I'm just curious of everyone's set up and how they like the ride or if they wished or already have gone with the Steeda's dampners. I feel you on the "figuring out" part, it's taken me about 3 or 4 weeks to get it set where I want it.
How do the progressive springs ride with the...
Just curious of everyone who runs the Koni Yellows, what do you have them set at? Do you wish you would've gone with or already replaced the Koni's with the Steeda fixed or their new adjustable dampners?
I'm running BMR handing springs, and have my Koni's set at a 1/2 turn from full stiff in...
Did some forum searching to see where George from MGW used a weight analogy to explain the "extra stress," but couldn't find it. This is all I could find.
George himself says, "...we have now introduced our X-Spec option. This shifter is the EXACT same shifter as our standard with the only...
You're correct, that's what George told me about the X-Spec with the shorter handle. But I opted for it anyway, feels better with resting my arm on the center column -- use to it from driving the MR2 for so long. Although I do like how the shifter assembly sits overall, I wish I had a weighted...
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind once me and the girlfriend get settled into our new place towards the end of the year, that'll give me enough time to persuade her into letting me build the Mustang some more haha
Traded in my 15’ Jeep Wrangler JK for a 17’ base model GT when the girlfriend gave me the “OK”, back in September. She had bought be things for the Jeep, and I told her I would feel bad trading it in, seeing as the stuff she got me were presents. But she said, “It’s okay, I know the 5.0 will...
NVH isn't even there at all in my opinion, that I can't feel primarily because of the shifter anyway. Only vibration when your hand is on the shifter, just due to it being transmounted I believe. A lot of people say it's "too much" for a daily driver -- but it's perfect, honestly.
Just a...
I'm new to the Mustang community, hopefully I'll be able to make it out if work allows. Been wanting to attend one to meet everyone and get some build references.
I'm right there with you with installing the MGW shifter with only the front end lifted on jackstands :frusty:, took me about 6hrs too. Everything went smoothly except for getting to the top mount bolt for uninstalling and reinstalling, alk about a PITA...
But also highly recommend this...
Do you have an idea of when, Kelly? Because I get paid the Friday before Christmas and and looking into ordering the sway bar end links and rear toe links.
