My employer isn't in a great financial position right now, and my GT was due to be paid off this September. I had the extra money, so I paid it off six months early. I'm more comfortable without that extra bill every month. OP, use whichever option makes you most comfortable given your situation.

The lumbar support started working again after I adjusted the height/tilt of the seat. For what it is worth, the power lumbar support in the driver's seat of my 2019 Edge SEL did the same thing where it stopped working and then started working after a height/tilt adjustment.

From what I remember, the lumbar support is a hinged frame that is moved by the cable. Yes, it is somewhat uncomfortable given the position in which it's stuck. I just haven't felt like removing and disassembling the seat to correct it. I might do it this year once the weather improves.

I suspect that the lumbar support is just caught in the fame of the seat back. I haven't removed and disassembled the seat yet to investigate. I've just been living with the issue so far.

I've always been envious of the GT/CS. Had I been able to wait until 2019, I would've went that way. They look so much sharper than a plain GT. My only gripe is that the GT/CS package was only available with certain colors. Ruby Red with the black GT/CS stripe would've looked great.
