If you haven't already removed it, the temp/humidity sensor is for the HVAC system to more or less monitor the interior temp and humidity levels so the HVAC module can adjust the temp/mode/recirc doors and trigger the compressor clutch to keep it around the desired temperature.

Sounds like a draw somewhere, or just SOL with the battery. I've seen new Fords/Lincolns with draws from different modules, so don't rule that out. Have the dealer do a draw test or do so yourself if you're able.
