Did they say if it was the tension link (forward control arm) or the lateral link (rear control arm)
you can tell them to put the old caliper and brakes back on the car. You can purchase either the tension or lateral arms from steeda for about $200 for left and right side and change out yourself.
Did you ever get this fixed? I’m with PC_Guard on the caliper… I had a similar noise removed all brake pads, retorqued calipers reinstalled and still had the noise.. turned out to be front lower control arm ball joint.
