Do these make any noise at all? Before these came out I was looking into purchasing the Viking shocks, but a lot of people were complaining about clunking and squeaking noises....
After doing some more research it seems only logical answer I could come up with was with a AWD system powered by a v6 twin turbo power plant. If you look at fords all new performance vehicles; Ford F-150 Raptor v6 twin turbo, Ford GT twin turbo v6 as well. I think Ford always likes to take the...
Its a must on even a stock car. The shifting is always consistent. I have it on my GT and the shifts are solid, never missed a gear, the engagement is the same no matter the drive or the temperature.
I agree with you. It's saddening that so many great auto makers are pushing everything towards being automatic. A true sports car should require full control from the driver to gearing, braking and throttle. What's next autonomous racing?
Hey guys just installed the steeds Vertical links, the wheel hop has been reduced greatly and also less wheel slip when turning slowly, but I am noticing on my drive side that it makes a creaking noise when taking off.
I went under the car yesterday and grabbed the axles and moved them side to side and it made the same clunking noise. However I don't notice any issues when driving or anything like that. Another thing I noticed was if I have been running it hard and then turn slowly the noise is even louder. As...
Bump Steer Kit
I actually now have all your suspension components, except for the toe links lol. The bumpsteer kit made a big difference, the steering feels very firm and car is not all over the place. So far all I have is IRS Bushings, Differential bushings, IRS Alignment Kit, IRS Brace...
Thing is stuff always trickles down... Just something I thought I'd share from what I found but a AWD system does seem likely though considering that much power its going to need more grip to launch and handle.
Well Im just relaying some info from what he told me. Hes been with company for over a decade and is a master tech. We were talking and he told me if I wanted more power out of my gt to just hold out for the gt500 and that it comes with a twinscrew 750-800hp with a awd system.
Thats what the tech told me. It makes sense. Everytime the gt500 comes out it dominates the industry. It has to do something to beat the hellcat and new camaro zl1.
Alright so I was at Ford today and talking to some master tech. Was told the GT500 will be released in 2018 will have a v8 twinscrew with.... a AWD system producing anywhere from 750-800hp. So i got a little curious and thought I would examine their website for some little secrets. So I checked...
I will give that a shot today after work and see what happens with it. Last time I looked at it though the driveshaft seemed fine, What I did notice was a slight side to side movement from the axels, maybe moving by a 2-4mm side to side.
So heres how my setup went:
I installed diff bushings, its bushings, and alignment kit, and exhaust all around the same time, no issues everything worked perfect no weird noises.
drove it like that for a good couple hundred miles and then installed steeds progressive springs, sway bars and...
I wonder if its a issue with the differential then. After reviewing the the underbelly of the drivetrain area, those components are extremely sloppy. Im going to be moving forward with replacing the driveshaft with a aluminum one piece and getting new axels, I'm just worried about having to...
