Nope. Florida allows me to register the car remotely, and pay ZERO sales tax as long as I do not drive it in Florida for six months. This isn't my first time doing this.
My inital registration fee is also waived.

Also, this is the second time that I have seen people specifically note "3.55 gears" as itemized. 3.55 gears are standard, aren't they? I'm just wondering why people are itemizing them alongside things like active exhaust and enhanced security group like that ratio costs extra...
Well, I priced out the X plan, and it was lower until I got the incentives with the Military Auto Sales people. They (Ford) would not combine any incentives with X plan, so this offer was lower. Plus, I was leaving overseas, and that base dealer was the only deal in town. It was, really, take...
2018 GT Premium...Jan 2 (?) delivery
Hello all,
I am active duty military overseas, heading back to the US soon. I will take delivery in Illinois. A breakdown of my pricing is below. Also, I did not have to pay any sales tax at all.
I think the military auto sales tracking system works...
Could you share what these are/where you found them? I am still working with my overseas dealer for US delivery, and they are saying "No" to anything other than standard X Plan. I did see something one time that said something about "stateside only" but i can't remember details. I do get the...
Anyone else in this favorable position?
I called my insurance company to get an estimate of the increase in insurance premium that I would suffer when I trade out my wife's 2007 Honda Element for a 2017 Hyundai Tuscon, AND my temporary-while-I-wait-to-get-a-new-car beat-up 2001 Oldsmobile...
I had an Evo VIII and sold it after about a year because I couldn't stand the torque steer and I couldn't stand the lag between pressing the accelerator, waiting for the turbo to spin up, and then finally start to get going. I won't have my 2018 GT for a few months, and it will be my first...
Man I thought I was the only one who wouldn't buy a used manual sports, muscle, or performance car! I just couldn't get the thought out of my head of someone, out of ignorance, ineptitude, or just plain douchery, absolutely TRASHING the engine, clutch, transmission, etc., and I didn't want to...
And it's on both the MSRP and X-Plan sites, but I supposed they probably both use the same shell on the back end. I can always hope (until the glitch is fixed).
I am seeing the same thing. Would be nice if it weren't a glitch. I wanted the Shaker Audio, but not as a separate add-on, and especially not for that high of a price.
Yep...and the inspiration for how I will paint my 2018 GT. I was going to paint the GT exactly like a Herbie, but the doors on the 2018 have a shape that would not allow for a flat "53", and I don't think the lines of the hood would either. So, I'll just settle for red white and blue...
What is the intended function of real rear quarter vents? Cooling the brakes? Aerodynamics? Someone please educate me.
Just my opinion...I can't stand anything fake on cars. I don't like "tributes" or "clones", fake hood scoops, or those horrible fake convertibles. But then again, I don't...
I haven't seen anyone yet mention TORQUE STEER yet. That, and having to wait (seemingly forever) for the turbo to spin up...sure the whine was neat to hear, but when I press the pedal I want the car to GO! The torque steer almost pulling the steering wheel out of my hands was why I traded in...
At least 10 years for my 2018 GT (ordering when my dealer allows it). After that, I will buy the electric car equivalent that will surely be available by then.
I will be ordering a 2018 GT, Oxford white. The only modifications I will ever do to it are red and blue strips and replacing the uninspired GT rear deck lid badge with the tri-color pony from the 2018 Pony Package.
Our Military Auto Sales dealer here overseas is not able to order yet either. I can be patient...it's not like I'm waiting to actually pick up a car I've already ordered...November or so is when I will become impatient.
I have only driven one car with a HUD (Camaro just a few years back), and to me, it was an absolute gimmick and waste of money/time/effort. I also think it gives the driver a false sense of security. You have focus your eyes on the windshield. Your eyes cannot focus on something just over...
For those of us unfamiliar with how these exhaust system works:
1) Could someone explain mechanically what happens to change the exhaust? Is it simply some manner of butterfly valve in the exhaust system?
2) Will there be any measureable difference in horsepower between Quiet and Track modes...
