I leave the car running with heat/ac on and park where I can see my car from the register. Never take him for a Walmart trip but he goes with me to the gas station often.
Do you guys do anything differently when your dog is with you? I put towels down and trained him to stay out of the seat.
My 19 is a pp1 so I got ps4s stock 255f 275r and they never broke loose unless I forced them to. First winter I switched to same size as3+. On certain surfaces, cold tire, they would break loose at about 5-6k rolling in to wot 1st gear and spin for a little on an aggressive 1-2 shift.
Here’s a...
Ew, I HATE the new corvette for that reason. The corvette should scream American muscle, not be confused for some European supercar. If that’s the look I wanted I’d be shopping for a European supercar. Reminds me of the cobalt ss/focus rs for people that couldn’t afford a real sports car. Ugh...
Waiting on those bearings in the mail but didn’t order toe links since I have a pp1. You think the stock links are sufficient or should I swap those too?
I have searched, unfortunately there’s nothing from 295-315 in an 18 or 19” rim and the one size they make in 325 is a full inch shorter than the stock pp1 rears.
I didn’t say they sounded bad, just that they aren’t unique. I could mistake that car for a truck or any of the other v8 sports cars but when I hear a coyote, I immediately know what it is.
The curvature on the front of that hood and the ridiculous body lines it makes for the engine...
I want this tire so bad but they just don’t make it wide enough. Wanted to do like a 295-305 up front and a 325 rear. Considering doing a 285 square set up like you and having a 305 summer tire to swap on the rear when temps allow. Thanks for the write up!
Honestly I wasn’t shopping when I test drove a 19 gt, was killing time waiting on tire barn to mount some mower tires for me. Liked the car but wasn’t thinking about buying. Well 2 weeks later I had a really good woman just decide “the spark wasn’t there anymore” so I figured what better to heal...
I did a few wot pulls before the 500mi mark, always waited until oil temp read normal. Took the car on a road trip around with 2k miles on the odo, was expecting to put about 2000 miles on it, get home and change oil, well it turned out to be about 2900 miles so I was near 5k on my first change...
Called tire rack this morning and they pretty much said everything for an 18 or 19” rim in a 295 or 305 is summer only. So should I step up to 325 squared or do I settle for a 285? Really not looking to put any camber in it, also don’t want the front and rear too far apart in width.
Michelin...
What sizes would you guys suggest? Seams like it’s really hard to get close to the stock diameters. I’m thinking 295 up front and 325 rear.
Any thoughts on running the a/s up front year round? Only track the car sees is drag strip maybe 5 times a year.
I read somewhere but I can’t find it...
