I never do, but I have also heard that people do it. I may try it eventually, but it does in fact take longer to engage the clutch, therefore wearing it more than normal take offs. I'm sure it's a negligible difference in the life of the clutch though
The increase in NVH is so negligible that when other people drive my car they have no idea at all that I've modded it.
The bushing is cheap enough that your best bet is just to get one and install it, see how it feels, then take it out if you can't live with it.
Hey guys, I'm trying to set up a flashlight drags event down at pax river NAS, still working on getting permission. If any of you are interested in running your cars, like this post so I can add up the numbers easier.
Not even shaped like a rock chip, more like the edge of something scraped the paint off. You can see the little jagged paint edges where the offending piece of whatever it was chipped it away
Hey all,
I just saw that shiftek makes an X pipe for the s550 in stainless for $160. That's a steal compared to what's out there. Looks to be good quality as well. I'm not in the market but wanted to pass it along.

Does somebody want to make a diy for how to take the seat apart to get to this thing? I don't mind doing mine up with plastic tubing like shown to get it working right.
I kind of doubt there will be a tsb. My taurus SHO had the same exact issue and there never was a fix for it.
