Thanks for the recommendations, I went with Direct Line.
£280 annual premium.
Very happy with that, 35 years old, wife also on policy, parked on drive, 9k miles/year, business use, £0 voluntary excess!
Am I right to think our cars have breakdown cover from Ford for a year or so?
Sorry, just a quickie. I have to be in the USA for two days at the end of this week, hastily organised business trip. Suitcase will be largely empty, what should I try and bring back? Deck-lid may fit, I could maybe bring a couple. Any other smaller 'suitcase' size mods?
I asked my dealer to fit it without the bracket, then the car appeared with the bracket on... He said no problem, sent back to the workshop, they used 3m tape and a metal plate, looks great!
No TVR anymore, sold it to make space for the Stang. Being an ex TVR owner creates one of the very few downsides to this car - the sound. I fired it up and felt a little let down, it is an extremely civilised car in my view and really easy to drive, but the noise doesn't hit you until about 3k...
Right, I was waiting for 375 days to get this car and it has not disappointed. Awesome motor. I will write something about it when I am not busy driving. For now, here are some pictures of a Guard Grey RHD Mustang in the UK.
I would say this because I ordered it, but for me the best...
Got it! There was a brief moment when the system worked and my car made it through DVLA!
Awesome piece of kit, thoughts to come soon on another thread.
Just had the call!!!! 375 days after placing my order, I will collect my car tomorrow morning. Time for a long weekend of motoring!
FYI with me 136 days after being built. 43 days after being placed on a boat.
I hope it's not a heap of crap now! :hail:
This is really odd, my colour choices would be pretty much the exact reversal of the popularity (with the exception of yellow). I'm not sure what that says about me.
Hi all, some potentially exciting news for those on the 'Glorious Leader' (departed Baltimore 22nd Jan). On WWL it states the vessel ETA in Zeebrugge 15th Feb. However, I have just checked and it now says LINER RELEASE / 2nd Feb / ZEEBRUGGE (Liner Release meaning my car is off the vessel!)...
Yep, I had tried this for a long time and then one day it worked. The date tallied with the 'booked' date of 7th Jan. In the image above I have scrubbed the latter part of my VIN, that's maybe not clear.
I did the chasing. Funnily enough my dealer gave me my VIN way back at the end of the summer. I then chased Karen with a couple of emails and got responses on uplift, gate release, train to port etc. She said she was pushing mine along (not literally) because it was being quite slow.
I...
As mentioned before, mine is now on the boat 'Glorious Leader'. From what I can decipher this leaves Baltimore today (20th), with 46 other Mustangs by the look of it? Arrives in Zeebrugge 15th Feb, so looking at other folk it could be 15th March before we see them?
FYI Mine was built in...
I can now see my VIN on the tracking site: https://www.2wglobal.com/ (click Track & Trace on the left side).
On the 'Glorious Leader' as promised. Only downside now is the route the ship is taking. Departs Baltimore 20th Jan, doesn't then land in Zeebrugge until 15th Feb!
I'm guessing it could...
VIN's seem to be all over the place. You are probably all aware by now of the RHD 'loom fire' which happened on a CO in December. This would then cause all of our cars which were already produced and waiting in the USA to have the fix performed, and probably held back a touch longer as this...
