Just a heads up, if there are not enough participants for both days, Kyle Caraway ( Shelbyfest founder) will push it to one day, Friday, 05/06/2022. I've gone to every Shelbyfest since 2014 and it is a blast!
AS Tom advises, use the right socket!! Many people will use a multi-toothed generic socket with disastrous results. Use a good quality "6 sided", deep well socket and you will be fine. Remember the torque requirement for the GT350 and 350R lugs is 150 pound feet.
This thread read like "War & Peace" but I'm glad to see you are "finally" enjoying a satisfactory resolution! My 2019 has been flawless over the last 16K miles and after reading your post, I feel so fortunate! Enjoy your car now and best of luck in the future!
Temperature gauge going bad, or dead short somewhere in the electrical connection? It seems intermittent via your description. Sticking thermostat? Just spit balling for you.
You're kind of between a rock and a hard place! There definitely could be a part failure within the clutch system that would be covered under warranty, but the dealership has to tear into it to determine if that's the issue. If it's the result of abuse or wear, then they might not cover it under...
I've followed this same thought process on my past 3 GT500's and my current 19 GT350. Dip sticks on our cars are historically not terribly accurate. I drained my oil at 1000 miles, followed the number of quarts required per the manual, and followed the "checking oil level" procedures in the...
Just to let everyone know, I received the oil filter guide from Pilotgore, yesterday, and it will eliminate the oil filter leakage into the belly pan when changing it. The receipt of the guide and payment process went perfectly. I highly recommend Pilotgore's guide and his trustworthiness in...
I have ordered one from Pilotgore. I'm on the waiting list! It's always a good business sign when you have more demand than product! He's making them as fast as he can, I'll bet!
I just saw your seven page post reference this invention of yours and it is exactly what I need to eliminate the oil dripping into the interior surface of the plastic belly pan. Shoot me a PM reference availability of the V-2 unit and payment procedures. Thanks for reaching out to my post...
I've searched the forum and can't seem to locate this funnel used to keep oil from pooling in the cover beneath the engine when removing the new style canister oil filter. Does anyone remember the site to obtain one?
As long as you have a private residence to re-charge the unit. For people who don't; they have a problem! Look at the number of apartment complexes in an average city. It's a big disadvantage.
The only time police officers get OTP for going to court is if it occurs on their day off or is outside of their shift schedule. At least that is how my department operates. As said, most governmental agencies would not be fond of dolling out OTP for normal court appearances.
Looks like adhesive gave way due to the heat generated by the caliper and rotor. Just get some more weights of equal size and weight, mark their location, remove the old ones, thoroughly clean the surface and re-apply the new weights.
I've not seen that interview with Mr. Brock. He is so articulate and straightforward. It is abundantly clear what an abiding love he had for Mr. Remington, Mr. Miles, and all the other brilliant contributors of that fantastically designed race car. I'm so glad I was in my late teens when those...
For the most part, build sheets are not found within the confines of the car, now days. They are now usually pitched before the car is completed. I'm sure there are exceptions, but more often than not, you won't find one in your car.
