Got it.
I went the opposite way. Had the OPG / CG on at 11 miles. Drove the car to 1974 miles then Whipple time. So far so good, except for winter.

Who ever said they are made to the same specs?
Tighter tolerance from the billet machining process would potentially reflect in smaller variation in oil flow characteristics from unit to unit, especially at lower RPM.
Remember, the cost from Ford for an OPG replacement(no housing) is like $50...
You are missing the point. An aftermarket OPG will not get rid of the tick. It may help prevent it if indeed an oil cavitation/starvation related issue...

My theory on the aftermarket OPG is that they are machined from billet stock and the OEM OPG are cast then maybe machined. The aftermarket theoretically would be tighter tolerances.
There was a thread a while back that 5w20 could be cavitation caused the oil starvation. A better OPG may help...
Whipple states 5w50. I use Mobile 1. Considering Ceratec. Al did a good job with his video and likes Power Up but it seems Ceratec has a little more positive reviews and testing results if you compare the two.
The bigger question, did you put in aftermarket OPG and sprocket while in there...
I ordered the NT05's Gloss Black. Due in today. I also am on Eibach Pro springs. Not sure when I will get them on but snowed here last night. So A/S on right now. Planning on throwing them on for some pictures maybe this weekend....

I also got my car from Lebanon Ford. The original plan, due to limited available time on my part, was to have them install the OPG, spocket, shafts, a couple of other items, and stage 1 Whipple. At that time there was no stage 1 kit available. Whipple provided stage 2 with the 4.00" pulley...
