Instead of staggering the tires 255 front/275 back, the installer installed the 255s on the left and the 275 on the right. I hadn't noticed until I went to my garage and started looking for signs of scratched rims or anything else. They also pumped the tires to 40 lbs all the way around. Ughh!
Hello everyone:
I was out driving earlier today. I live in south Fl. and today was hot. I usually drive with the windows down and no AC, but today was too hot so I turned on the AC. As soon as I did that, my AFR started jumping around and I started getting a rough idle and almost felt like it...
Thanks a lot for your help. I think I have the info I need to order. I think I have a complicating factor though, in that I'm running the Ford Performance kit (CAI w/upgraded throttle body and calibration tool: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-M8B). I guess that will go in the trash...
Thanks Pws6. So if I don't need the pump, I don't need the pump booster either, is that right. So I don't need the pump, pump booster, and intercooler. What about the blow off valve? Is the standard 50 mm good enough?
So it looks like it's a bit more expensive than I was thinking. I did choose a blow off valve, the GT500 injectors, the DW415 fuel pump, and the pump booster. Oh and also the G4 intercooler.
Yeah, I think my quote was a bit exaggerated. I'm not planning on running a very small pulley, so that's part of the reason I don't need a G3. The G2 is plenty for what I'm looking for. Not sure about installing it myself though. So I have to factor in installation cost, tune, tuning device...
What about a tuning? What device are you using? Or is something that has to be done through a tuner? I was reading good things about the SCT X4 and DiabloSport Trinity 2 EX.
My goal is getting the ESS G2 kit installed. I'm not going to install it myself so that's going to cost. I live near Steeda so I'm thinking about going with them for the install and tune. And then I have to consider the other mods, so I figure this could easily be at 15$-20$K if all done at...
Pardon my ignorance, but don't the transmission, drivetrain, cooling systems, fuel system, etc. need to also be upgraded to handle the extra hp? Are people installing these systems without any other mods, or do the kits contain everything that's needed to safely use the hp without breaking the...
When it comes to superchargers and their impact on the crankshaft snout, the type and placement of the supercharger can indeed affect the load. Centrifugal Superchargers: These are typically mounted further forward compared to other types. They tend to place less load on the crankshaft snout...
This is something I found while doing research on the Whipple and ESS G3 Kit:
"Both the Whipple supercharger and the ESS G3 Kit are excellent choices for boosting your Mustang GT’s performance, but they have some key differences. Here are some advantages of the Whipple supercharger over the ESS...
