I have the FRPP Touring and I wouldn't exactly call it quiet. It might just be my garage amplifying the sound, but my cold starts are actually quite loud.
What I do is spray it liberally with quick detailer and let it soak in for a while. Then go back and soak it with more quick detailer and wait. At this point it should no longer be dry and you should be able to gently wipe it away. I use Optimum No Rinse diluted to use as a quick detailer or...
All of my cars that have thermometers have always read a few degrees high, even in the winter. Is it too difficult to just compensate by a couple degrees?
I have the FRPP Touring and I can tell you that it is in no way a quiet exhaust. It is really loud IMO. I personally don't want to tone it down, but based on sound clips I've heard, if you put the factory resonator back on and keep the FRPP mufflers, it will probably be too quiet for most people.
I don't have an oscilliscope, so I'm not sure what the actual voltage was. I didn't boost the signal by a whole lot, and I'm not driving the amp so hard that it clips, so it shouldn't lower the life of the amp.

I just installed some Silblade FLX wipers. I can't speak for longevity (they claim they are very long lasting), but the wiping performance is way better than my stock wipers. My stock drivers side wiper always left streaks.
