Got home after dark today. Pictures will have to wait till tomorrow, if I can get home before sundown, or Thursday morning.
I am coming from a 2006 Redfire Mustang, which I thought was the most beautiful color I had ever seen - until I saw Ruby Red on the 2015.
Just spectacular!
Well, technically, not my car. But I bought it, so I guess it's my car now.
A little background:
My sales guy took the liberty of placing an order for me shortly after I told him that I was putting my current Mustang up for sale, back at the beginning of October. I sold my car on Halloween...
I have heard that some dealers don't want to accept X-Plan on cars that they have sitting on the lot, and only allow it for retail orders, but I would imagine that would be the exception rather than the rule.
I asked this specific question at my dealer yesterday, because they have a GT...
Hell, even MSRP is too much. Sign up for one of the X-Plan deals - Mustang Club of America ($50), Experimental Aircraft Association ($40) - if you don't already qualify through your employer.
Tell the dealer when you walk on the lot that you are eligible for X-Plan. They will either accept it...
Experimental Aircraft Association.
They are an X-Plan partner. You can buy a 1 year membership for 40 bucks, and they have an additional $750 coupon that you can use with your x-plan pricing

I am pretty sure that they are not.

Every Mustang that I have seen has a recline lever near the hinge, and a seatback release at the center of the back side of the seatback.
None of the Mustangs come with power recline, to my knowledge. If I understand correctly, it is rarely (if ever) an option on 2 door cars with rear seats.
But I have been wrong before, and this is the Internet, so I will be corrected shortly if I am! ;-)
Depends a lot on how much other business you have with a company, too. I just got a quote from USAA for my recently ordered '15 GT Premium.
I am 49, with one minor at-fault accident and a small ticket on my record, and the GT is going to add $410 to my 6 month premium - roughly $68 per month...
What is really funny is that everybody knew that there was no chance I was going to buy that car. It is the wrong color, the wrong engine, the wrong trim level. My sales guy likes to call me when they have something cool that might be fun to drive. Back in 2006 we bought a V6 Premium for me, and...
Spot mirrors are fine, as far as they go, but they don't replace turning your head and looking. I feel the same way about BLIS. I have driven a couple of rental cars that had it though, and I do like having the little warning light when someone is overtaking on your right.
I can't speak for others, I am only comparing to my memory of my 2006. Since the one I drove today was a V6, it was giving up a fair amount of real estate to the blind spot mirrors. Beyond that, though, to me it felt like the '15 mirrors were maybe 25% smaller than the '06?
I am sure I will...
Hmmm.... Responded to this earlier, and now it's gone...?
No, not yet. Apparently the guy who does the ordering works during the week and my sales guy works wed - sun. And I am traveling for work all of next week. I might shoot him an email, but it won't make the car come any sooner...
I know that there are a ton of these, so I will keep it brief.
Today I went to my dealer to order a Ruby Red GT, and wound up looking at and driving a Guard V6. I had no intention of buying it, but my sales guy loves to go on test drives...
I am coming from a 2006 V6 Premium which I bought...
Since I sold my 2006 on Friday, I figured it was time to place the order for the 2015. I have talked to my sales guy a couple of times about it since back in April or May, so he knew that I would be coming in at some point.
When I got there today though, he wouldn't allow me to order a car...
Now that I have sold my 2006, I went to see my guy at Vancouver Ford today to start the ball rolling on a 2015.
As luck would have it, they had one 2015 in stock - a V6 Guard with a manual transmission. It is a complete base model, with not a single option on it. X-Plan price is $23,662...
