  1. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Alpine Series X components and coax. Infinity mids and center channel. JL Amps and stealthbox. DSP does direct the door speakers to driver, but at low/moderate volumes the lack of center channel leaves something to be desired IMO — not enough volume to fill the cabin and you’re left with...
  2. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

To be honest, I’m not sure what you mean by “the supplied crossover.” I had all of my stuff professionally installed - not my area of expertise. I upgraded the entire system, but the center channel is still powered by factory amp and not running through DSP.
  3. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

https://www.crutchfield.com/S-7Nsq3HY9hC7/p_108K20MXM/Infinity-Kappa-20mx.html Looked back. I actually paid $150 for the pair, but I’ll stick with 70 plus shipping.
  4. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

For anyone interested in replacing the center channel speaker (as opposed to disconnecting it, as some are doing): I purchased a pair of Inifinity Kappa mids (sold only in pairs). I paid $140 at local retailer. I only need one, so I am selling the other one. 1/2 the cost for the pair, plus...
  5. How I improved the B&O sound quality for free

I am not sure. I added the JL Twk though, and it fixed my issue.

305/30/20 at all 4 corners. Michelin PSS AS4 ZP
  7. Anyone daily driving their GT500?

Daily driven here in MS (in all weather). 3,300 miles so far, no issues beyond the rock chip my windshield suffered yesterday. I have the entire front ppf'd, which I'd recommend regardless. I did put a set of all-seasons on the stock wheels, and I ordered a set of aftermarket wheels to hold...
  8. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

The result is fantastic. My installer handled the tuning (with me present to provide feedback). It has a ton of options/settings. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
  9. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Yes. Alpine Type x components, type r coax (rear) and infinity mids. Update: added the JL Twk. What a difference! This system is fantastic. Going to add the JL stealthbox in replacement of factory sub enclosure. Otherwise I’m done.
  10. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Thanks. The amp pro was installed pre-factory amp. Not sure if this is what you meant. I will have to check about firmware updates. I was considering recommending that the installer use the optional toslink. Thanks
  11. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Relatedly, what settings should I be using for the amp pro?
  12. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Perfect. Thank you. Would you consider the Twk the best option, or is there another preferred route?
  13. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

I’m very confused by all of this stuff, so I appreciate your help. I just need to know whether I can make this system sound good by adding a twk88, or if I’ll still need to use forscan to make eq changes. Or if there is something else I’ll need.
  14. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

This is very helpful. Thank you. When you say dsp, are your referring to the Twk 88 from JL? The fix 86 is a dsp right?, but I thought the amp pro was supposed to replace it. Would you pair the Twk 88 with the amp pro? My system is WAY too bright. I wonder if my installer failed to adjust any...
  15. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

The other option is to use the JL audio Twk to control eq functions.
  16. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Thanks. I used the PAC to get the audio signal from the factory head unit to my aftermarket amps. The installer says the dsr1 would be added to handle eq functions. Does that sound right? so you’re saying that because I will be getting the dsr1, I won’t need to mess with settings in forscan? I...
  17. Aftermarket System - still need to flatten factory EQ?

Hello. I have an aftermarket sound system in my 2020 GT500 (b&o system). I have a PAC controller (attached between the factory amp and head unit) going to aftermarket amps powering the panel/door speakers and sub (all aftermarket). I am also planning to add an aftermarket eq (RF dsr1). I am...
