Alpine Series X components and coax. Infinity mids and center channel. JL Amps and stealthbox.
DSP does direct the door speakers to driver, but at low/moderate volumes the lack of center channel leaves something to be desired IMO — not enough volume to fill the cabin and you’re left with...
To be honest, I’m not sure what you mean by “the supplied crossover.” I had all of my stuff professionally installed - not my area of expertise.
I upgraded the entire system, but the center channel is still powered by factory amp and not running through DSP.

Looked back. I actually paid $150 for the pair, but I’ll stick with 70 plus shipping.
For anyone interested in replacing the center channel speaker (as opposed to disconnecting it, as some are doing):
I purchased a pair of Inifinity Kappa mids (sold only in pairs). I paid $140 at local retailer.
I only need one, so I am selling the other one. 1/2 the cost for the pair, plus...
Daily driven here in MS (in all weather). 3,300 miles so far, no issues beyond the rock chip my windshield suffered yesterday. I have the entire front ppf'd, which I'd recommend regardless.
I did put a set of all-seasons on the stock wheels, and I ordered a set of aftermarket wheels to hold...
The result is fantastic. My installer handled the tuning (with me present to provide feedback). It has a ton of options/settings. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Yes. Alpine Type x components, type r coax (rear) and infinity mids.
Update: added the JL Twk. What a difference! This system is fantastic. Going to add the JL stealthbox in replacement of factory sub enclosure. Otherwise I’m done.
Thanks. The amp pro was installed pre-factory amp. Not sure if this is what you meant.
I will have to check about firmware updates. I was considering recommending that the installer use the optional toslink. Thanks
I’m very confused by all of this stuff, so I appreciate your help.
I just need to know whether I can make this system sound good by adding a twk88, or if I’ll still need to use forscan to make eq changes. Or if there is something else I’ll need.
This is very helpful. Thank you. When you say dsp, are your referring to the Twk 88 from JL? The fix 86 is a dsp right?, but I thought the amp pro was supposed to replace it. Would you pair the Twk 88 with the amp pro?
My system is WAY too bright. I wonder if my installer failed to adjust any...
Thanks. I used the PAC to get the audio signal from the factory head unit to my aftermarket amps. The installer says the dsr1 would be added to handle eq functions. Does that sound right?
so you’re saying that because I will be getting the dsr1, I won’t need to mess with settings in forscan?
I...
Hello.
I have an aftermarket sound system in my 2020 GT500 (b&o system). I have a PAC controller (attached between the factory amp and head unit) going to aftermarket amps powering the panel/door speakers and sub (all aftermarket). I am also planning to add an aftermarket eq (RF dsr1).
I am...
