How did the system sound? I'm ok with the one in my 2011 Mustang and always thought the Shaker was just louder but not cleaner. I'm getting a base GT also and not much out there about some of the differences, every one seems to be going Premium for most of the early builds.
I changed my mind before ordering, from Magnetic to Ingot mainly because I've been driving a Sterling Grey S197 for four years and wanted a change. They both are nice in person and I haven't had Silver in awhile and I like the way the lighter color accents the rocker panels and grill.
Ok, this covers everything except the Diamond Mesh "aluminum" dash insert on the GT base I have coming in a few weeks. Is it a metal surface covering a plastic substrate also or "Carbon Fiber look" like the V6 dash?
Good explanation, really I only knew there was a lot of trim levels for the F150 that confused the choices and I agree that the base 2015 Mustang is miles ahead of my 2011 base V6 and I'm happy with that.
Just wish the choices were not so combined. Thanks for the info. Besides I have no problem...
You, also, are making my point. The F150 has so many trim levels for basically the same truck you can get just about any combination you want if you are willing to sift through them. Some people want the simplicity of just picking a trim level and some need a few specific things. Why then is the...
You are making my point, it is more about maximizing the profit margin than focusing on the customer that is providing said profit. A good healthy debate was not my intention, so I will get off my soapbox and go back to anticipating my Ingot Silver Mustang GT base that should be delivered in a...
I can understand streamlining the production process to save time and money, whether it is for the Company or the Customer is debatable, but I'm the one buying the product and it always seems they structure it to push you up into a padded package to get a couple features deliberately instead of...
No, everyone would like to be able to order all options they want and not be lumped into a $4000+ "Package" of things they don't want without a ridiculous up-charge for the individual "features". Offer a package discount but still leave it to the customer to decide what they can get. It might...
Yes, lots of raw power in the Camaro 1/2 second AFTER you floor it, but not an instantaneous feel the GT has. It just feels like an extention of your foot vs. a machine you are operating.
I agree with your "intangibles" it does have an organic feel to it that just makes it seem anxious to go. My short test drive in a Comp. Orange GT Premium vs. a Camaro SS made the Chevy seem clunky, hesitant and heavy by contrast, mainly due to pedal stiffness, throttle lag, and the weight of...
From my short test drive of a GT Premium, I toggled through the modes and came to the conclusion I could mimic the Sport+ throttle "settings" by just using the SelectShift & paddles and gear down to keep the revs higher. I'll still have the steering adjustments and traction control on my base GT...
Moved to "In Production" yesterday, window sticker up today, "blend" date 120141117, I'm guessing build process starts next Monday! Now just waiting for EDD to get realistic once it hits "awaiting shipment" and start tracking it "in transit".
