I like "Kids over 50." This thread warms my heart. When I sometimes wonder if I'm weird for being 66 going on 18 I will pull up this thread and know that I'm not alone.
Yep I just got LMR SVE 19x10 SP2 wheels with Nitto 555G2s all around. 305 in the rear and 285 in the front. Hooks way better than the stock Pirellis, sort of. Old guys rule. Kids are grown, finances are in order. I can spend a few car dollars now.
I'm "only" 66 and bought my GT in May of 2016. Worked my way through all three of the Ford Performance power packs and went FI in January. Added some Steeda suspension parts, MGW shifter, and fat tires all around. Drive it daily 24 miles one way to work. Love it so much I'm selling my...
I got my Roush Phase 2 kit from Beefcake for 1500 dollars off on a Black Friday sale last November
JBA in San Diego did the install for 2500. It was 400 cheaper than the nearest Roush certified Ford Dealer. Got it dyno tuned by JBA also.
I have a 2016 GT. I worked my way through all three of the Ford Performance power packs. Now I have the Roush Phase 2 since January. Everything is stock but the supercharger and the MGW shifter. I have some Steeda IRS braces front and rear and vertical links. No wheel hop and doesn't get...
Tires for sure. I'm still running the stock Pirellis and have no traction in 1st, 2nd, and when shifting into third. Way too much power which is just enough.
Thanks for the encouragement. I've been watching some install videos. I'm tempted to give it a try. I'll check out the installation instructions when the kit arrives. Beefcake hooked me up with a speed shop in LA that's about 1K less than the Roush dealer and speed shops here in San Diego. I...
Thanks guys. Beefcake hooked me up with a sweet deal on the kit so I'm ahead there. I'm waiting to hear back from Stillen in Orange County. I'll post my final cost on the install when I get it.
I pulled the trigger on a Roush Phase 2 for my '16 GT. A Roush dealer in San Diego quoted $2900 for the install (20 hours). Another shop quoted me a straight $2500. Do either of these costs sound reasonable/ballpark? Any recommendations in San Diego county would be appreciated.
I have the IRS braces and strut tower brace installed on my '16 GT. Vertical links sitting on the workbench waiting for the right time. I want a K brace for the front. I'd love to have the forum discount code. Thanks.
Service advisor's name was John. Don't have his last name handy right now. If it's on my paperwork I'll post it. They looked over the install instructions from Ford Performance and quoted me 3.5 hours of labor. I bought my PP3 from Levittown Ford. They have me a forum discount which amounted to...
