That was my thinking too Archer. I guess the sensationalist title should have tipped me off that they were trying to make headlines. I would think CF eventually trickles down but since the base/GT always share the same shell, aluminum just sounds like the most cost effective way to reduce...

It has not accelerated it since i haven't ordered one (yet!) but I am much,much better informed about the S550 due to this site and the helpful members on here.

Jarstang just posted that the new color we saw on the GT350R, GT and Raptor is called Liquid Blue and Ford might offer it if they get good feedback. So....time to raise our voices!! Oh and I wanna see this on the GT not just the GT350 please. It's too pretty to be on a limited volume car.

Thanks for the great write up and sucks to hear about the alignment/fitment issues. Ford's had QC issues in the past but they were supposed to have improved in the last few years. Growing pains of all the new models maybe... or hopefully. You are coming from some cars that are leaders in this...

:lol: Agreed especially with younger generation mostly driving automatic cars, they will miss out on some sales. Thing is, they probably will sell more than they will make so might be a moot point. I agree with your last part but if they don't make a GT500 what will they make? I doubt a 5.2L...
