Not necessarily identical, since the hot viscosity rating is a grade range, defined by SAE J300. So one xW-30 could actually have more KV100 (and also HTHS viscosity) than another xW-30. This is true with all oils of different brands within the same SAE viscosity grade.
I went with 5W-30 at the first oil change. The extra HTHS viscosity (which is what actually counts for operational dynamic viscosity) of the 5W-30 helps give better wear protection.
