Here's two of my gripes that maybe the 'but it's a race car' crowd can appreciate:
1. No factory tow hook!
2. Black steering wheel centre locator on a black steering wheel (non-R models).
Ps. I love the car.
Weight also. They are the lightest option out there. If you install a rollbar you can't put anything back there anyway. But if you intend to load items in the rear then yeah that won't work.
Are you talking about the GT resonator(essentially a mid muffler) or the 350 x-pipe resonator(hotdog) setup?
Because on a 350 there is no way deleting the resonators will effect anything other than sound.
Just to add to what everyone else has said already, the sound you get from the delete will depend on which delete route you go with. And if anyone tells you that different deletes won't make a sound difference, it's absolutely wrong. Someone documented it on here a few years ago and I have gone...
Man that looks incredible. I really love those wheels and personally think they look a ton better and much more aggressive than having dished wheels. Amazing!
I don't work in OE engineering, but I can tell you what you said is not correct. Spacers when correctly utilized are completely fine. The major factor is the correct spacers and the correct utilization. Correctly sized hub centric slip on spacers, when torqued down correctly AND ensuring there...
It's not the same. I know what your saying and to me it would make sense also, but the export models definitely had a different crash bar with a tow hook thread.
Oh wow I couldn't even finish that video. Yikes. Here's an alternative, maybe a company representative gives a short 5 minute chat on all the technical aspects of the product which is what I'm interested in. If I want to see tits there's plenty of places for that.
I don't think the 2.5 vs 2.75 for that short amount of piping will have any negative effect power wise. I mean the internal diameter of the factory resonators are 2.25", you have an upgrade over that. The factory resonators are also smaller than 2.5" ID. I'd just leave it personally unless you...
A previous owner has already deleted your resonators and welded in straight pipes, like the R. The R pipes are 2.75", I'm not sure what size yours are but they look fairly similar, might be 2.5". Definitely don't go changing that, I think you have a good setup. You can see they have also...
I've owned my car for quite a while now, and I know what the starts sound like, cold and warm.
The initial cold start bark is gone. It is still loud when cold, but that initial bark that scared the crap out of my kids is no longer. I thought it was just me, but it seems I'm not alone. I wonder...
Man this is so weird that this popped up today, because the cold start bark seems muted on mine also. My car was sitting in a workshop for about 10 months and when I got it back it hasn't seemed to do the cold bark on the initial start. Valves are functioning correctly, and do the normal cold...
This is just me thinking out loud (or typing while thinking), but as K4fxd alluded to above, the 350 and 500 were/are real high performance production sports cars. And by real I just mean they weren't a kitted up or special edition GT, they were specifically designed to live at the pointy end of...
