Sorry my reference was to your comment about "The tank dumps coolant over board, different design than the football" and "early vs late model", not about how the factory system works. By 'tank' do you mean the Radium tank, and are you implying it's different in function to the factory tank. :like:
Actually an expansion tank is part of the circulating cooling system. Instead of the fluid in the radiator expanding and contracting as what it used to do in the past, the expansion tank does this job now, leaving the radiator to be full all the time. Also allows self bleeding to occur.

Yeah look I don't know why they put that there or the reasoning behind it. Maybe it's just a warning to make sure people are checking it.
But actually just thinking about it, under WOT at high RPM you will have a large amount of oil in the heads. When you come off WOT, you will get a strong...
It's a good question. So this is where the PCV system is misunderstood, and why I'll probably do a video on it soon. The problem is to fully understand it, you sort of do have to go into it depth. Not that it's overly complicated though.
I will begin with this statement. Oil collected in...
Without knowing the engineers' thoughts, I would say it a couple of reasons. First is that the amount of oil collected varies under driving conditions, as it's related to manifold vacuum. So theoretically you could have a catch can fill up before a service interval, which would not be ideal. As...
It's actually the other way around. High manifold vacuum conditions are when you'll collect the most oil through the catch can, and this will occur mostly under part throttle driving. So driving around normally on the street or on cruise is when these are needed the most.
Regardless of opinions on the product, I don't really see how it's good news. It will flow on to everything, including companies making top notch headers.
I saw this a week or so ago. Luckily I already have a set but it's a shame you can't get them anymore. EPA are really cracking down. I hope you do get your money back, but I also feel for B-line who would be under the pump right now.
The don't sell mid pipes.
I can't remember exactly but I'll check when I drive it again. Pretty sure I sit at around 70psi at 2000rpm hot. I did notice that the hot idle pressure was similar, about 35psi, but everything was higher than what I had prior. Could have been the oil though, as I switched from motorcraft to...
That's interesting, I have higher oil pressure with the 2087. Noticeable higher. The 2087 flowing more would result in a higher oil pressure. But if you noticed a lower pressure I can't really argue with that 🤷♂️
I don't think anyone has said or implied that the SVT engineers are clueless. I'm sure they had a lot of things they wanted to add but couldn't fit it in the budget or perhaps it was just overlooked.
When you either break down or run off on a track, you will get towed back to the pits in a...
Discounting the luck of actually being harpooned, I think you are incredibly luck for that to only hit pierce the valance and miss not only the cooling gear, but fuel tank, fuel lines, etc. Unlucky and lucky at the same time.
Behind closed doors per say, that's exactly what happens. Take a high end/designer clothing store for example. They will literally price their items based on the price willing to be paid by the consumer, essentially saying 'they can afford it, because they are buying it'.
Point being is that a...
