Decided to remove my engine cover today and was giving the car some revs just out of curiosity to see if there was any sound change with the cover off but I ended up noticing a very strange whooshing noise which seems to be coming from near the coolant reservoir and water pump. Damn so same issue with the new engine huh? I haven’t had any drivability issues so maybe it isn’t something as bad as what I’m thinking. Still wish it would go away lol

I’m not sure if this is normal or not but everytime i let off the throttle there appears to be this clicking noise right after. It seems to be coming from underneath the car. To me it sounds horrible and out of place but I’m pretty new to this car so figured I’d check here. I attached a video.

Just wanted to give an update for those watching this thread, cars been at my ford dealer since Monday. I called yesterday and the service advisor said they haven’t even gotten a chance to look at it but they should be able to get to it today, we’ll see….

I appreciate it, at the end of the day it is what it is and Im glad I still got that warranty haha

Appreciate the input, to be honest I’m not too knowledgeable with all this and have really just been going off of the few basic things I do know. Dropped it off at the dealer this morning and the tech said the smoke did look a little excessive and had the smell of oil, I’ll update when I hear back.

I haven’t checked the coolant, I checked the oil dip stick and it was good, didn’t smell anything burnt or see any metallic shavings

It happens at all RPM ranges, after 4K RPM the exhaust seems to drown it out pretty well. Seems most clear and easy to hear under 2-2.5k after letting off throttle. It’s not the 2k rattle though I know that for a fact.
