The power recline would be helpful, not that it's hard work doing the lever action, but it's more about adjustability with me. The manual recline always seems like the position I want is halfway in between two settings.

High deductibles are the best way to cut the cost down especially if you can do repairs on your own, I would only be wary if you're financing the vehicle, only a few leinholders allow over a 1k deductible and will force place their own insurance on your payment if you dont meet their requirements.
100/300/50 is always the recommended amount, the price difference gets smaller the higher you go. You can have mismatching UM/UIM coverages depending on what state you're in, you may need to sign a UM form first before the company will do that.
