You're lucky you're close to the border and can do that. The rest of us end up paying the bandits at courier/shipping countries outrageous amounts of fees for crossing stuff. There's the odd guy around that has a PO box across the border and will pick stuff up and cross it for a reasonable...
Hell yeah I'm buying, I just spent $4500 on a roll bar, race seats and harnesses. And 3 grand on slicks. And that's just the start. I've got another $10K in the kitty for this spring.
Battery may well be dead, these cars have pretty hefty parasitic loads. No big deal, a charge should bring it back to life in an hour or two, worse case scenario if the battery was really weak it might not come back so you go buy a new battery.
My car sits all winter and I found four weeks...
Not street legal in most parts of North America nor is it intended for that. I have one, it's a good piece for the track, easy to install and does not interfere with the OEM street 3 point harness at all, including the pre-tensioner. However, even with Recaros it will not do what a roll bar...
Not anytime soon my friend, going to be at least 20-25 years before that even might be a thing. I'll be pushing daisies or too stupid to drive by then! Our crappy hydro grid in Ontario would collapse in a heartbeat if suddenly we all were driving E cars. They cancelled e-testing when some...
The base PP front pads are Ferodo DS2500 and they are pretty good. For a novice they are going to be fine for quite a while regardless of the rubber you are on.
Why wouldn't you just go to the 11" R350 et52 rims from LMR and use 305s? They'll fit with a 20-25 mm spacer up front, mine fit with a 20, some cars need a little more. Anything less and you're not going to get all you can. I farted around with lesser wheels and staggered setup and regretted...
Surprised no one mentioned Braille. I've been using a B2015 for a couple of years, saves 20 lbs, easy to mount in the stock battery location and it is AGM so standard battery tech with none of the lithium battery issues. For track cars only though, the parasitic load from these cars will...
For every 'vette that passes my 'stang on the track I pass 15 (or more) 'vettes. Really no idea why I would want to trade, I have half the money in this car that a 'vette would suck up. The fun per dollar factor is just way higher with the 'stang.
A big center vent is going to do more for cooling and aero than the side vents by a lot. The high pressure is right behind the rad so the center vent is placed right there to get that high pressure air out of there. The side ones are fine for looks but they don't flow nearly as much as the...
The only good thing about the very heavy, very hard to clean PP1 OEM wheels is that you can sell them for a decent buck and then use that money to buy some decent aftermarket flow formed wheels that weigh 21 lbs for a 19X11 wheel that will be far more useful for those who use their car on track.
I have the Ford Performance FR3 track suspension kit. Fills in a lot of gaps. Spring rates are virtually identical to the GT350R (except progressive so no tooth rattling roughness on the street), custom valved shocks to work with these exact springs and bars, some spherical bearing pieces that...
