^ Fair points, I suppose, but I have to believe that the 400+ft-lbs of torque that the GT350 is claimed by Ford to have will still ferociously pin you back in the seat when you stomp on the "go" pedal. :D
Yep. Lots of more important info on the GT350 yet to be released by Ford, pricing information not the least. The full list of options and standard equipment also being pretty important too.
Makes me wonder if Ford will have some sort of Anniversary badging package that replaces the cobras with Tri-bar ponies. I won't hold my breath, but it would be a cool option.
So for DD purposes two questions come to mind: (a) what all-season tires would be good for fall/winter/early spring driving and (b) does it seem likely that Shelby American will produce a set of classic-looking rims that would fit the new GT350?
So far, nothing of any consequence except that apparently it only comes with black wheels. Brake dust be damned, Ford needs to give their customers alternatives for vehicles at this end of the price range.
So a general engineering question does come to mind, though. Since an FPC has less rotational mass and can presumably generate more horsepower with less effort than a CPC, wouldn't that make an engine that uses an FPC at least marginally more fuel efficient than an engine of similar displacement...
