I just removed the plastic cover over the digital dash on my 2018. Not sunny where I am today but, it should help with sun glare and reflections a whole lot.

I just traded a 2011 loaded premium convertible for a 2018 ecoboost premium coupe. I wanted the V8 but, only for it’s sound. Both the V6 and the new ecoboost have plenty of power. For me, it was only about the exhaust sound. Everything else steers me to the non V8s.

We can bring up anything we want. But, the thread wasn’t about that. It was asking if anybody did filter changes halfway through oil changes. Not opinions about whether I should or not but whether anybody did this or not.

Yes, as filters get used, they clog up more and actually filter better but, that restricts flow. Do you really want to do that? Plus, many here are using Motorcraft filter fl400s instead of recommended fl910s in their Ecoboost. Yes, the 400s filters better but, doesn’t flow as good. Add on to...

I’m retired so, I have the time (15 minutes!) and the money!

Well, I used to do it and felt good about it. I’ll probably be the only one on here doing it. Might just keep the engine a little bit cleaner! Takes about 15 minutes to do and the oil drips into a drip pan so, not much of a problem to do.

Maybe so but, so are 5000 mile and less oil changes are unnecessary also and are done all the time.

To help keep things cleaner in the engine. Also, does anybody know if I do that will much oil spill out from the oil not being drained or does the oil pan hold all of the oil in an Ecoboost? So, let’s say I change the oil every 8000 miles and plan on changing the oil filter out at 4000-5000...
