Tirerack dropped their 3R tires back down to what it was before. 305/30-19 $324 325/30-19 $375 ** I order last night, 325/30-19 was $358. I am guessing Tirerack is playing the Amazon game ? moving price around based on inventory / demand...

  5. GT350 OEM brake fluid track worthy?

I have nothing to back this up, but I seriously doubt it is Pentosin DOT4 LV, which is only 509F dry boiling point. a very low end fluid.
  6. GT350 OEM brake fluid track worthy?

I wonder what brake fluids came oem on gt350. I doubt it is the HD Ford brake fluid, which has low dry boiling point. I’ve boil many with higher boiling point, but just barely with the gt350

  8. GT350R and parts...

wheels are a consumables on tracks. I race Miata, I throw away ~6 wheels per year. CF wheels are stronger, so may be I will throw away just 2 per year. not gonna happen for me. but for street, they are badass.
  9. Anyone towing their 350Rs' occasionally?

I already have the widest open trailer allowed by law. But I do have 325 tires
  10. GT350R and parts...

I am opposite, my R wheels are for street. bought a set of track wheels to beat on. track wheels are consumable, they jump curbs, racing brake pads also deposit nasty crap on wheels.....
  11. S550 Lap Times (Road Course)

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2105805&postcount=417 this was Big Willow, very abrasive track and kills outside tire on all cars. The picture I posted was at ACS, same car, same setup, same driver. ACS is a lot easier on tires, but very hard braking track. btw, 200tw...
  12. S550 Lap Times (Road Course)

    checked Tirerack, 3R is still cheaper currently. 305/30-19 3R is $328 305/30-19 SC2 is $395 325/30-19 3r is $400 325/30-19 SC2 is 4444 though I paid low $300 for the 325 3r Dec 2017. Tirerack must of raised the price...
  13. Anyone towing their 350Rs' occasionally?

I wonder how you guys are getting the GT350 to fit a trailer. I only have inches to spare both sides. Any slip (which happens when moving up or down trailer), you will scrape wheels

  16. Mounting a fire extinguisher?

that team (949racing) in the youtube video has an Element handheld in every single one of their cars, race cars, tow truck, trailer, street cars.... Here in southern California tracks. a common scenario is a track would spin, engine stalls, dry grass (we have desert tracks) catches fire...

  19. Mounting a fire extinguisher?

I hate 5LB extinguisher. They are super dangerous using most mounts. There is a reason roll bar mount for race car cost $100+, they need to be super sturdy so extinguisher don’t become a dangerous projectile in a crash
  20. Mounting a fire extinguisher?

It only weighs 1/2 LB, lighter than similar sized flashlight. You can use the plastic bracket it comes with. Because of the weight, it just clips in and don’t come off. They also sell roll bar mount, I don’t think is needed even in a race car. Some use off road flashlight holder. Works just...
