I had my car delivered in socal and the cotus dates are not reliable. When mine first shipped it had an EDD of 11/24, then 11/17, then last week it updated to 11/21, and on 11/13 I got a call saying it had arrived at the dealer. Although if you want an idea it took 11 days from saying shipped...
So I picked up my car yesterday and while driving around today I noticed that if you slowly upshift the car holds the rpms at the level they should be when moving to the next higher gear. I found this odd but kind of cool. So the manuals don't quite have rev matching but it does look like Ford...
I just picked mine up yesterday morning and im almost 600 miles in. I've been trying to use all the gears and vary my rpms and speed, I have gone WOT several times but ive been keeping it below 6k rpm. I dont believe in going all out right away but breaking it in doesnt mean to baby the crap...
That doesnt sound like out the door price for the base gt with pp. Arent TT&L about $2500 for you in your area? X-plan is like mid $33000 if im remembering right.
The MRT exhaust has a nice deep sound you might like that.
Also Bassani makes a real nice system and it will be out in the next couple weeks. It was my favorite for the last gen mustangs and it'll probably be what I get for my GT.
Well I have a 2013 V6 right now and I average 22mpg on my drive to work in traffic and I get nearly 32mpg on my drive between Temecula and San Jose when I take the I5. Test driving a car that isnt broken in is a poor way to judge fuel economy.
Umm... your numbers are off quite a bit. Those look more like city mpgs, and it's a 2015 ecoboost not 2014.
You are partially right about the reason behind the lower v6 feul economy this year but its also due to greater drivetrain loss.
Yes. I got my VIN and build date last Thursday. But the car wont be built until the week of Nov 3rd so I dont expect to see my car until December. Oh well I guess its a xmas present to myself rather than a bday present
"Guna go to every continent except Antarctica... we're guna work on that too!"
Haha! that would be great if they took one down to Antarctica for a publicity stunt!
Sounds like he's off with a bit of his info:
Steering settings new?
Mustangs didn't have USB?
3500lb ecoboost is ~200lbs heavier than previous V6?
Also he says he had to keep forcing the transmission down in gears, I wonder if he didn't play with the driving modes.
I actually kinda like the look of the brake ducts but I agree that lower grille area just looks too open...unless there is an intercooler for a twin turbo system, then it would probably look badass from the front
