As much as I and everyone else who's ordered wants their car NOW, I'll personally feel a lot more comfortable waiting for the initial run of dealer stock to come off the line - if this is in fact accurate info - as a quality assurance move if that's what it is. Remember the MKZ this past April...
You are being exceptionally eloquent by generalizing that "all" are being cranky from the wait. Truth is that only a handful come across as high and mighty, never wrong or just plain 'ol ignorant. I'm still new here but it'd be a privilege to some day meet up with almost all of the regular...
Police officer for 32 years and had an absolute blast. Retired early at 50 and now a college professor teaching criminal justice, hopefully inspiring the best students to consider policing and take up where I left off. My '15 will be Mustang #3.
Regarding the soft touch door trim...great news and I for one would have been driven around the bend if it was (and hopefully not is) hard plastic. It's a quality thing and now that any of the loaded up premium Mustangs are in the mid 40ish USD range and 50ish CDN range, so should they be...
I honestly believe the two cars will be night and day. A tough choice to be sure, my 2005 was Roushcharged and it was sinful. But....that was then and this is now. 2015 has my vote (and my deposit).
Exactly why I sit back and read most everything but post sparingly. In a few months it'll all be over as far as these concerns go...then it'll be a whole 'nother story. Can't wait lol.
Oh hell, what's 80lbs anyways? I'll go on a flippin diet and lose.....well a portion of that - no need to over react. And if I only fill the gas tank to 1/2 most of the time.....well there you go, 80lbs just went "pffft".
Lol, would have done the same thing. Thanks for your clarification on the door plastic. I pray the production models have that upper part in soft touch.
It kills me that dealerships are still flogging this electronic rust protection scam. Honestly, in this day and age....absolutely not necessary. And ditto for the leather "protector". Find yourself some premium products (eg. Leatherique which is made right here in Niagara on the Lake) and do...
Ditto to this question. I'm hoping that the obvious split between the upper 1/4 and lower 3/4 portions of the door panels means that Ford invested in soft touch (like the Explorer). It would make a heck of a difference in terms of premium feel. But...you were there, we weren't so no pressure...
Correct, would NEVER use them. But hey...part of the fun of getting a new car, especially one like this, is shopping for wheels. Looking forward to the challenge actually!
All of these gorgeous (Twin Turbo's word was perfect so I borrowed it) photos and those of the GT with PP confirm one thing IMO...the wheels front and rear need to be pushed out somewhere between 10 and 20mm's. Probably too late for the suppliers to change their specs but it's nothing the...
Interesting. Looks like anything indicated with "less" isn't included or isn't applicable. Confirms "Less Rear Parking Assist". Good to know.....thanks for posting!!
